I too had the same issue on my 09. I ended up replacing the starter solenoid, starter and while at it a few other non related parts. No problem since. I used the gear reduction starter off the Internet and have had a completely reliable truck for almost two years now. I didn't put on the new...
tailgate
I had purchased anew tailgate off of ebay from summit racing, arrived looking ok so I was excited. Then the drama started, 3/8 of and inch off in width compared to my old tailgate couldn't get it to line up at all. Had to tap every hole to match the correct thread pitch and chaos...
those look SHARP! I have a 2002 superduty lariat and have to say for whatever reason the seats are not that impressive. I feel like on turns im sliding out of the seat all the time and its a superduty, so im not cornering like I do in my BMW. Its weird, but the old seats in my m1009 are a...
theres a guy in pocatello ID on craigslist has several 416's and m100 for sale. Top end is 1400 bucks and down, he has one built like an expo rig already for 2500. If I hadn't just got mine for FREE I would have jumped on one of the ones he's selling.
Good to know. Im going to take my canvas off here in another month and do an inspection and see what needs doing. I have to say I love these old military trailers, such good gear.
I would have a better guess from a look at the tongue and the jack. The m104 has a steel wheel on the jack and the 101 has a big dished out plate not a wheel.
Im no expert by any means but it looks like an m101 to me. I have sense sold mine but sure looked about the same, not sure if they produced the 101 around that period but sure appears to be the same.
To be honest I like the surgebrakes. Now that they work on mine it amazing, plus I dont have a brake controller in any of our trucks. If I had been able to do the repair myself the cost would have been around 400 with parts and everything at max. But doggone NAPA and wholesaletrailer parts in...
I was lucky to get a used set of 3 km2 mudders in 33x12.5 for ten bucks a piece at discount tire to throw on my a3. got killed on brake repair today though, 900! I didnt have time to order the parts from etrailer.com and the local backing plate assemblies are outrageous. But I got new shoes...
Yeah once we get moved my first order of business is the m416 then this guy. Im kinda kicking the idea around of a flat bed with some anchor points, not for sure.
Any suggestion on this guys? I already have a perfect m101a3 and an m416 as an expedition build.
One of the guys at the museum seems to think it was for some sort of pump? Not that its really the end of the world either way, Im very pleased with it and the 416 and the 101a3. cant beat mil trailers
Will do, its not much to look at right now, but will do. I decided to ditch the stock axle and rims and go to a custom dexter axle with parking brake and hubs to match the m1009. The military had modified this at north island to have a tailgate, very robust. Not sure if im going to keep it or...
