Russ in Monroe, NJ has an M100 frame and a tub for sale separately. It was just on eBay. He's just off the NJ Turnpike, exit 8.

Hey THEROAD,
I'm right in Neptune. We've got a small group of guys interested in forming a club for the Jersey Shore if you are interested. Also, I have a deuce and I park it in Wall Twp near the airport. It's $100 per month. I know that there are other lots around where you can pay to park...
I am not making accusations, just a hypothesis. I've seen other message boards become paid memberships and they usually have a drop in participation and the information deteriorates. I'm just curious as to how much SS really needs to operate. If there were a dollar amount that we all knew...
I would like to know how much it actually costs to run this site. I don't mind paying for a service but if it is going to line the pockets of the administrators instead of providing knowledge for the hobby, then I would question it. No offense to the administrators, everyone is allowed to make...
It's an M117 which is the 6 ton version of the M127 (12 ton).
I bought this on eBay, drove down to Asheville, NC and brought it back up to NJ. I bolted and welded a tongue from an M353 generator trailer onto it then took the rest of the steel from the M353 and added a 5' beaver tail to the...
I built a dolly a couple years ago using an M105 trailer frame. I only needed it to get a trailer near Asheville, NC. It worked perfectly! I have since given it to a friend who uses it to haul his office trailer with his deuce.
You can see in the photo how I welded a 1/2" sheet of steel on...
I've got brand new starters for sale at a very reasonable price. Check out the classified ad:

If you have any photos of Bruce Kalin's deuce from the first ECC, I had just welded on lifting shackles on his front bumper. I believe that they were in the correct position as per Bruce's instructions. Maybe you can post a picture of his deuce?
1/4 ton trailers for the M1009 sounds reasonable for the way the pintle is set up. However, I've towed an M101 without any problems. I've also changed out my bumper and beefed it up which allowed me to tow my M101 with a Haflinger in it. I've also hauled my 14' trailer with about 6,000 lbs of...
RE: Re: RE: Re: My CUCV keeps blowing Starter Relay???
It sounds like you have a short somewhere. Feel the purple and red wires and see if they are hot. If so, the smaller wire to the starter may be grounding against the manifold or engine block somewhere. That wire is fed by the red wire...
The fun starts when you get your second, third, fourth, etc. military vehicles! Be thankful that the M1009 parts are cheap and readily available. Also, the M1009 can be fixed easily by yourself or most mechanics.
RE: Re: gen 1 light on with heat
My recommendation:
Pull the alternator and take it to a shop that can test it and service it. I don't mess around with trying to figure out loads anymore. I let the professionals do it. It saves a lot of time and head scratching.
RE: pintle
Geez...a little over kill on the support brackets on your hitch?
Was that something you bought and added brackets to or did you make it all yourself? I was able to buy a similar hitch for $65 with only one support bracket.
Check your belts on the alternators, check the connections on the alternators. I had a similar problem and found that all the connections and belts were fine but I had a broken post on one of the alternator terminals. It wasn't found until I pulled on the wires.
Gen 1 is the driver's side...
