Correct or rather CJ10a the CJ10 was a truck version that was exported. The CJ10A was a specialty built Airforce contract tug. 2 wheel drive short wheel base Gavan done a lot of work to what you see there...
I'm a cracker born from some Koonass. Here in Florida there are fewer and fewer of us. Those bears are huge. Interdiction usually meant those boys got pretty close from what I've read. Thanks for posting the pic.[thumbzup]
I love the production jig.
No I have never tried the welding rod with rivits. We did relax the rivits with a torch. Cut the heads then use a really large hammer or air hamer. But this was on a 1952 chevy.
That is the logic I put to the mechanic when he told me about this method to remove bolts. Now a rivit is by nature expanded not really rusted in to place but seeing how easily the bolt came out after he did this I was sold. Matter of fact it was just a set of vice grips on the end of the...
have you tried drilling the shank of the rivet?
I have never done this but I have had people tell me to stick a welding rod on broken bolts to heat and loosen them. Take a 6010 and turn the amperage way down and just pump the juice to it for 3-5 seconds. I was told to just unclamp from the...
Instead of modifying a cover I was hoping to just find one of approximate the right size. I find its always easier that way. Yes a canvas shop could modify or even myself. I've worked on boat tops and have a friend with a canvas and leather sewing machine. I'm worried about changing the width...
I was curious if anyone knows off hand of a right size gen set cover for something say Jeep size.
Gavan had to take approximately 2 foot I think out of his and that negated the usefulness of the cover.
I was thinking a gen set cover would be alittle shorter but I think they will be too...

I haven't seen anything new from Gavan but his build is about the best I've seen with the trailer for the bed.
Duramax 13x10' Insulated Building, Tents, Duramax at Sportsman's Guide
hey this caught my eye. I like James' idea of an inflatable for a deuce bed. Use the inflation fan for ventilation.8-)
Choosing Indian tipi (teepee, tepee) styles, sizes, and fabrics
Though not OD it is canvas. For long term living you really can't beat these things. Due to interesting family hobbies I've grown up around these things. Have seen them survive 50 MPH gust and tornadoes and can attest to the...
Very cool! I have been fascinated by this application. These are the first pictures I have seen of the installed operation. I see now the intended use of the multiple building. Congratulations on the new daughter.
Careful on the material from sewing shops some synthetics will not react well with the resin. Also I like the thick sheet backing for quilting you can get it to make nice curves and sweeps. You will have to lay finish mat (tightly weave) on it to finish it. A friend laid that down for a center...
I was thinking that was what you meant. I'm not as educated on doing this mod but I've looked into quite a few section and drops on other vehicles. I like using the flanger tools to run a 1/4 inch flange that you can then spot weld panels into. On short run can stiffen panels.
Tin foil will make a nice cheep release agent for almost anything. If you want to cap something in fiber glass 1 cover with foil 2 smooth out crinkles 3 verify no holes and lay some glass in. I've capped cut up consoles that way on a few boats.
Been thinking of doing this for my 03 dodge...
bbf I only get to see it when I am running down the TP there south of Prima Vista.
Camoyj7- always nice to have access to a big break. Just alittle curious about "widen the front" Are you talking about the second cab?
