Simple ethylene glycol is not normally stored in the ground. Exposure is within the aerated and aerobic zones of most soil. This allows for mechanical stripping. Bacteria are a wonderful tool for us who clean up this stuff. Degradation of MTBE by microbes is debated. I also believe that at...
Awsome, I deal with gasoline in groundwater and will say MTBE does not need to be handled by the public. Not that the effects are really toxic just it moves too freely through our world.
I might just be stripping ethanol from my fuel before storage now. This has been a pretty useful topic...
The way I understand the use the ethanol is really just a filler or extender. Has very little to no fuel value in most engines. Anyone know of this for fact or bs?
I remember reading up on hardened valve seats. I do not have the time to look it up but I believe it is a concern with both the L and F heads. My poor jeep has been re-powered.
I remove the ethanol from pump gas. I mix any additives into a jerry can and drive around till the main tank needs...
As vapor goes remember moving air creates static, static creates spark, sparks can make things go boom.
That said good grounding of drums and equipment is essential when working with even the less flammable liquids like used oil. You are never really sure of the mixture.
I use the...
DrJekl I would think that its by far more economical to swap power plant and driveline. I would concur with the price of scrap making everything hard to come by. There is a 12V cummins that came avalible here in my neck of the woods for $1200 but let me tell you that is the first I've seen in...
I like the size...the comparison drives it home though this is not a jeep your going to muscle out of the mud. I would go OD and only black stencils for lettering. I've gotten rid of the bubba tiger camo job on my jeep, but just did not want to go period with the yellow markings it would take...
It would appear that by your last statement one could infer that a lowly Jeep may make one ponder ones mental faculties? I do not ride around in a cargo truck and I did not misspell my screen name.:funny:
:funny:I think living with it now is the only way.
Plus if I am correct I believe soldier #2 posted for his dad. I think the Marine can take a joke and now has a nick-name.

Add your name up to the list and it...
Yup going to fit in....I was all proud of myself stenciled 53M38A1 on my hood and was standing back admiring it. Then come my wife with "why is the 1 backwards"
My experience would say don't spray in the insulation unless you are really confident in the water proof nature of your structure. With the nature of the improvised shelter you would have to judge that. But the common ISO board with the foil is what I would go with. If you did have a leak it...
ditto, that is one project I've always wanted to take on. Grew up just south to the UDT museum in Ft. Pierce they have one outside. Welcome, I don't think having a MV is at all required to enjoy this site.
The cool seal comes in two different qualities yes. Its a coating and never intended to be used as a waterproofing system. Think spray paint: not, primer, base, sealer, wax!!!
Frodo--- the new shanty does look like a step up. Would think bedliner might work good. I still would worry about...
