Wow, what a first post!!!!
I'm getting ready to start my crew cab build (hopefully next month). Curious about how you did the custom soft top.
Looking forward to the upcoming pics!

Found some more pics in this thread here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/7360-sleeper-cab-duece.html
Looks like it's been painted since then maybe. Nice truck! Some more interior pics of the walk through and the area between the sleeper and back would be great if...
That thing looks awesome, and it's built for more than the Canadian Army! Had to Google it, and found out it's called "MECC" and is made by Weatherhaven. I bet it wouldn't be hard to adapt and create something like that with a little ingenuity and fabrication skills.
Definitely a different concept, though not much different than that of a popup camper. Certainly would give one more room, though I'd be concerned about the durability, especially to weather a storm.
My son and I bled our deuce without a power bleeder in the same fashion as one would do any other brake system. Wasn't very hard and didn't even go through a pint of fluid. Stopping ability afterwards was much improved.
Just follow what others have said above and you'll be fine.

Yeah, I read what Ray said. Again, very odd, especially since Carol is the one I have been dealing with. I even specifically asked about "commercial" as you have stated and she flat out told me there was no such thing. Don't know what the deal is, but it's obvious there are differences...
You are right about those, and but it was mentioned to me there were specific USAGE restrictions. (as I previously posted). Guess I'll find out when I get my docs from them.
Yeah, I have that thread bookmarked as I'm planning to crew cab my recently acquired deuce. Looking forward to watching the completion of this one!

What I posted above came from Carol; I've spoken with Donna as well.
Regardless, I emailed them the info today as I need something so I can get it registered. Don't plan on doing much driving in the next year, so this will work for now...
BTW...
Geico Commercial - $1000+ per year w/ bare...
True, but as others have mentioned, I'd hate to get into an incident only to have the insurance company drop me when they deem I was driving it "outside of their limitations".
Perhaps Gulfway will do for now until the decision comes to make it a more regular driver....
I finally brought her home! Only about a 35 mile journey, but it sure was fun. Had an occasional shimmy at full speed, and the left rear tire showed some odd feathering (definitely not full contact with the road). Dunno, but I got two new 9x20's for the front and will most likely un-flip the...
Welcome to the club!
I bought my deuce two weeks ago and brought her home today. found a few drips, I'm sure that is typical as well depending on the location (leaking fuel lines would not be typical). Can't help you on the heater issue, as I'm in sunny Florida!
Oh yeah...
