are you looking for the core size? I pick up mine from the shop next week so I should be able to find out. I know the dimensions for the mounting holes are about 18.5"x12.25"
Well my wedding is less than a year away now and my school could be as much as $60k per year so it may be a long while before my cash flow equals my willingness to work on the jeep.
You can get them recored but you will be a double amputee after you pay them for it. I am just excited to get it out on the road. So far I have driven it 3 times, 2 of which ended with it being pushed back home. One time it overheated and the other it ran out of gas, both while my brother was...
My radiator is in the shop getting recored right now and a shipment with new hoses and an oil filter assembly is on its way. Next week the a1 will be hitting the streets again. My next projects are to get the gauges working, go through the brakes, and start pulling dents out of the body.
I see that the radiator on a CJ3b has the upper radiator hose enter on the left and the early cj5 is just like the m38a1. Will both of these radiators mount with the stock holes?
I am bringing this thread back from the dead. Is the radiator from a m38a1 interchangeable with one from an early cj5 or cj3b. Also how much of the brake system can be swapped between the two.
I went with statefarm. It was only $74 for 6 months with a $50 deductable and $6k in coverage. The other 6 months it will be in storage for winter so that will only be $20 or so. I am only 22 so I imagine it will drop further in a few years.
I just found a new radiator on armyjeepparts.net for $490. Does anybody have experience with them on this? I am thinking it would be worth the extra $60 to get a new radiator.
Also what is the difference between the canister type filters like shown above and the cuno type filters. Are specific years supposed to have different filters? Will either one fit on my jeep which is a 52?
The new core is all copper, not aluminum. Luckily my tax rebate should be coming soon which will cover the cost of the new core. I was hoping there would be a little left over to put in the fund for a new oil filter assembly. Oh well. Thanks for the input.
