Okay - thanks once again clinto! I'm sure I'll need some help with that!
Good tip Glen! I wondered how it happened too... Sounds like you need to plan a CUCV road trip to GA!!!
I'll ask around here first, but will keep those in mind. Thanks!
Here is another view.....
tjmilitary & 91w350: Thanks! It came from Ft Gordon, GA.
Yeah, I'll check around and talk to a few places. One shop I have used before, can fix it for sure. They do most all kinds of mechanical work. If my memory serves me right the yoke is just pulled out of the t-case. Hopefully it will be...
I got the M1009 today, thanks to ferro and bigugh20. They picked it up at Ft Gordon and delivered it to my house. Adam and Craig were very nice and helpful. Ferro is very reasonable on recovery costs too! Thanks again guys!
Thanks also goes out to all of the members who offered...
Spoke with the GL rep earlier today, and he told me they are in the process of changing their EUC policy. In the future CUCVs will no longer require an EUC. He stated mine was one of the first they have sold that way at FT Gordon.
Well, it's what he said. We'll see.........
That's what I think....and why it never occured to me that it wasn't needed.
I have looked at so many posts where everyone is waiting for EUC clearance...and now I don't have to wait at all. As a matter of fact I'm late!! I was expecting later in Feb or March for a pickup.
Thanks!
I'd much rather pay a member for their time and trouble, rather than a company that doesn't know or care about MVs. Just hate I made the mistake in the first place....
Yep - I do. Saw it posted, but kept thinking the EUC had to clear first. My mistake...
Doh!aua
I meant to call them last week to discuss picking it up. I don't know if I can get off work, so I'll look into other options.
Thanks!
So I won the M1009 auction on Dec 9th, submitted EUC on Dec 15th. I got an email today saying I have to calll the GL rep at Fort Gordon & pick it up by Jan 3rd, or they'll consider me to have abandoned it!! Huh??
I sent them an email today and left the GL rep a voice message for more info. I...
The one on page 58? Perhaps a local sign shop could reproduce a very close copy. Making them into magnets would be a cool idea too. You could put them on the Deuce doors at shows!
Using this picture version might help them - it should be large enough to help them see the details. I'm sure...
From the GA rally- an M1009 "in action". I did great from what I saw.......

Most folks will look at the GL / GSA web sites and think........
1) What the heck is that??? :cookoo:
2) Why would somebody want to buy it??? :cookoo:
3) What the heck are they gonna do with it once they get it home???? :cookoo:
I doubt you will notice much of a difference. It's a small...
This scan is from a 1984 Blazer sales brochure. It says over 23,000 Blazers were recently purchased by the U.S. Army. I checked the 1985 & 1986 brochures, but they don't have anything similar.
Hope it helps provide some info on the CUCV model breakout. [thumbzup]
