the steering shaft nut is loosened almost all the way
so the wood is pushing on it
i soaked it with penetrating oild and put that thing on
every once in a while i would tighten it more
two days later i heard a noise that sounded like a cross between a bull whip and a gunshot
that thing had...
i just had a brainstorm
i have AAA premier and get free towing
i am gonna try to get THEM to haul this monster to the shop!
let somebody else bust their ass
i already did
i bought a new chinese carb
no instructions of course
and i dont know jack dookie about carbs.
plus i have no idea which ones i have out of the seemingly thousands of slight variations
so even though i cant afford it.
i am hiring a carb shop to fix my problem
i am going to hand them both carbs...
am gonna use either muriatic or phosphoric acid for the rust.
i have seen sealers fail before and thats worse than rust.
i will get it clean clean clean then slosh alcohol around in it to remove all traces of water
then splash diesel to coat the innards
then i will just keep the tank topped off...
i have searched ,searched and searched some more.
and i find old answers to this question
and every answer has dead links
either the seller died
or the place is no longer in business
does anyone know where i can get the 9x16 tubes and flaps with the right valve?
thank you!
trailering it home from the tranny shop
i have a tank half full of bad gas
going to siphon it out and dump some heat or stabil in there
pull the 318s carter carb and clean/rebuild (it floods badly)
and maybe hear it run for the first time
