I just keep admiring this truck. I like the short wheelbase, the style of the body, and it just dawned on me, the paint. Karl would you mind sharing the information on the paint?
Good info David, we use to have a fellow up at the Colorado State Forrest Service in Ft Collins by the name of Kirk...
Re: RE: Re: RE: 11.00-16 XL Tires Needed (2)
I hate to lose four in the hand looking for two in the bush so to speak. I'm sure some one has or knows where a couple of XL's are stashed, I'll have to be patient. Thanks

Quite a few years ago a truck parts house by the name of Pioneer here in Denver (I'm pretty sure that was the name) decided to go out of business. It was a huge auction. Trucks galore with tons of used and NOS parts for a large number of civilian and military trucks. The M211's were for the most...
Re: RE: 11.00-16 XL Tires Needed (2)
Yes, thats 100Dollarman, he has a number of the 11.00-16 XML's but no XL's. I thought about just buying 6 of his XML's and almost had myself talked into it, but then I'd have 4 XL's new sitting around with no use in the foreseeable future. Thanks though...
Decided to standardize my two trucks and ended up using four of my new 11.00-16 XL's on the 4X4. I'm short 2 XL's for my 6X6. Would anyone have or know of anyone who has two of the XL pattern tires in 11.00-16 available in near new or new condition? It would be really nice if they were fairly...
I was lucky and got 120 a ton for scrap last week. Down from 270 a ton. With the economy in a tail spin no telling where scrap will end up. Concern over terrorists getting their hands on large numbers of military trucks and the embarrassment that would cause Gl and the Gov, they won't certainly...
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Pulling one wheel from the duals
With what would easilly be a couple of thousand Budd lug nuts both single and dual here at the shop over the years, the easiest I've found is a 1" impact wrench. Perhaps an excessive expense for the hobbiest who may take down a tire...
I have many boxes of new stud and ball type mirrors. These are larger than the standard 5 x 7 military mirrors at 7 1/2 x 10. They are powder coated black and can be painted if desired. I have used these for about 4 years now and where I used to break one or two a year from banging into stuff...
One of my many Deuces was a late 80's M35A2 from the Air Force I bought out of New Mexico. I helped out a friend who had bought a huge stationary generator with stand alone control center and stand alone radiator cooling with electric fans. The total weight of the entire setup was 22,500 pounds...
They make universal mounting plates that have a stem for the standard 2 inch receivers. The match the combination pintle/ball hitch. I would search around the internet for them. Stores out here like Big R and some of the other ranch/farm supply stores carry this stuff. Northern Equipment...
I love the Dodge Cummins. On my third one. Having for years pulled old M37's home with a tow bar using other M37's, I remember the challenges. The only way to pull a much heavier Deuce is either on a fifth wheel trailer or using a strap and a second person in the cab of the Deuce. The Dodge...
I still miss my M656, they actually do float as you go down the highway. You could go from 4X8 to 8X8 with a flip of the switch. I went through and made sure all the seals worked as well as the bilge pumps but never floated either one I owned. Never had to use the winches mounted on the front...
That's what I have been finding, but nothing that mentions the actual number of inches between the bed inside wheel wells. Thanks very much though Jeff.

I'm at work with some nice folks trying to buy an M101A1 I have for sale. I've gone through the Search and have tried desparately on the web to find the number of inches between the wheel wells. Anyone know this off the top. I imagine it is around 40 to 50 inches but getting old and don't...
The distributors between the M37 and the M715 are different and will not interchange. Various components will, cap, points, coil, but not the shaft. This would have to be replaced for the appropriate engine.

Re: RE: Anyone using these?
I went there several times, have clicked on just about everything and can't find, search, or stumble across anything about wheels, rims, etc.. Nothing like a challenge for a customer.
