*IVH is not the definitive source of GM Vehicle RPO information and is intended for service reference only. Should there be any questions about the vehicle's...
One last thing check to see if your truck is stuck in 6x6. Grab the front driveshaft and see if you can rock it a little. If you can't move at all it's most likely in 6x6. I've been finding a bunch of trucks like this and mine was one of them. It's a easy fix here's a link to the story...
You won't need the brake fluid because it has air brakes. You will need a basic wrench set with a 3/8, 9/16, and big adjustable wrench for the ctis valve. 1 1/2 socket for lugs and I think 1 1/16 or 1 1/8 to get the ctis shield off if you get a flat. Also a few ratchet straps to get spare down...
What about adding another wheel opening on each side. When I stretched my old deuce I thought about using a m105 bed as well. I photo shopped this pic to see how it would look.
I don't think the M925 dog house will work on the a2's. The C.T.I.S. module will be in the way. Here is some pics of a a2 w/winch controls. It looks like you could extend the sides to reach the lower dash/firewall.
We put a winch from a m925 to a m923a2 and like Derrickl112 said the control mount is different. Also the drive shaft from the pto to the pump is a different length. I think it's because the nhc250 is a lot longer than the 8.3 Cummins.
Yes you are right. The one's from pickup's don't have sae flywheel housings. Most of the time you have to change them anyway though. I got lucky the one I pulled from the school bus had a sae#3 flywheel housing on it and I just had to find the right flywheel. If you don't crank up the power and...
Why not a 5.9 Cummins? Lighter maybe around 1300 lbs. They make great power, can find parts anywhere and will bolt up to any sae flywheel housing. Also the Spicer 3053 behind the deuce is a sae#3 flywheel housing not a sae#2.
You might need to rebuild your np208 transfer case. I've seen the shift forks wear out on them causing them to pop out of gear. They are pretty simple to rebuild.
Make sure you check clearance when you hook to different trailers. I can't even run flaps with my M146 trailer. I ended up making shorter mud flap brackets just so the brackets would clear the trailer.
Well thanks to Metalman99, Mdmorgan and e-bag. found most of the pieces I needed to finish my LWS. I'm still looking for the rear mounting pole that mounts on the rear legs and the u-bolts that mount it to the plate.
Check oil pressure with a guage. On my 1991 Chevy with a 6.2 diesel the oil pump drive shaft broke causing the oil pressure guage to read 0. I put another one and it broke again within 2 min of running. It ended up being a bad oil pump. I wouldn't drive it till you figure it out.
