And that's why they tell ya to drain the air tanks after each use.
I'f you have a sand blaster use dry baking soda very soft not as abrasive as sand or other blasting materials. They use that to remove paint on fiberglass, that may help. It' all depends on how scored up the cylinder is. Most...
I would check with your local DMV office about the bill of sale. Not to hard to go there and tell them what you would like to do. They will let you know exactly what they require. In the case of DMV it's easier to find out what you need then try to figure it out afterwards. In NY you don't...
I just saw the first political ad and I was like what the Heck? But then after thinking about it.. Hey let them spend their (our) money on this site and not get anything in return. I think most people here have their mind made up.. I knew how I am going to vote next week 4 years ago..:D
Well I am sorry if I can't offer more assistance here. Water only to the bottom of the door puts the batteries totally submerged in my deuce.. Don't know how that affects things as I have never forded in deep water before. Thank you Warthog for the clarification..
Only thing I know you should...
Just caught the thread, looks great and I like the standard shortened bed look. Really nice work, I have a greater appreciation for my bobbed deuce even though I bought it that way. of course it's never really done...
Well I am no expert but how deep did you go? Also did you check to see if you left the power on? Or was the master switch completely off? Perhaps something shorted out in the deep water? The deuce can keep going without electric, then perhaps when you shut it off that was it. I think there...
Unfortunately too many people sue these days.. Go help out neighbors and friends, as has been said don't get in the way of the pros but be there if they want you. Perhaps go to your local fire or police dept and let them know of you and your truck if you want to offer help.. Perhaps they may...
:funny: I wish I had a few guys that I could point to and say "fix that"
I just replaced the rear end in mine and by yourself the 800# rear end is well.. heavy..
This was my first problem with my truck however I did not have a dual system. It sounds like you are on a good course of action rebuilding both air packs. When I rebuilt mine that took care of it but then I was loosing pedal pressure so that led me to rebuilding the MC so now I am all set. I...
I had all kinds of issues with my brakes, I rebuilt the airpack first. Did you do a complete rebuild or did you just clean it up a little? Here is a thread I put out with Photos that may help you. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/82753-my-airpack-rebuild-photos.html After I did the rebuild...
Just a thought but perhaps you can send a PM to one of the moderators or the site manager to add the IRS doc to the website kind of like how they have the TM's posted.. I am sure many would like to see it.
Nice setup by the way..
Ha! Didn't realize you added the muffler, I missed it in your earlier post. I did the same thing, I noticed a big difference in sound and it's still loud enough for a deuce..
Mine looks like it came off the Titanic, I plan on taking it off and bringing it to a radiator shop that can acid wash it (or something like that) and re-line it like new. I heard it's only around $50.
