Got a pretty good storm here south of Denver and decided to check out the CTIS settings on the wrecker in the snow. Found out at the highway setting which is about 90 PSI on this truck the tires acted almost liked the military lugged tires on most older trucks, terrible in just a few inches of...
Check out this link to pictures from the Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado last meeting/BBQ. An excellent variety of vehicles.

Added LED strobe units to the front and rear of the wrecker. I am very happy with the brightness. they are 12 volt powered. One switch in the cab activates all four.

I replaced the flat thin rubber runner in the rear with some rubber open cell floor panels from Lowes. Makes for a great non-slip floor in the "operating room". Also mine is OD inside. Scratches show this was the original color.
Trailboss, there are stake pockets in the bed that take the same uprights as a deuce or 5 ton. 5 bow assemblies support what you see. Believe it or not I had to cut a few inches off the cross bow to have the stakes stand vertical. That bed apparently is slightly narrower than the cargo version.
I found some 56 inch wooden chocks surplus that the part number shows they were used on B-52s. Cut them down to 18 inches and they make great wheel chocks for the M936A2. Also, you see most fire departments chock their trucks anytime the are in place for anytime even at the grocery store.
Thinking the same thing but the hook nor the cables hit the front trailer bow in turns. Off road different story. Wrecker body covered to keep wicked Colorado sun off the hoses and seat.
I didn't think there was a chance in **** a M1102 trailer would be level and look good behind a 5 ton wrecker. Looks pretty dam good. The M818 pintle hook height is the same as the wrecker's, about 30 inches ground to inside bottom of the pintle hook so it would also be level behind a M818...

Great movie. Seen it a bunch of times. Dennis Weaver in the car if I remember right. Funny you showed this view. Working on an extension off the front of the wrecker that will give that view.
GoPro Hero3. For 1Patriot yeh this thing to me gets up and goes. I adjusted the governor to about 2300 RPM and that made all the difference. It had been hit or miss on the 5th gear lockup like it was searching. Now it goes right through the gears smoothly I might add and will lock up...
Front to back view. Two things, see if you can see any smoke before the turbo spins up :) Also, those Goodyears are awesome in the snow. Never locked the front axle and went right up the hills that the deuce and M818 with the lugged tires would just spin 3 axles on. I could stop and get...
