Just grabbed my popcorn good luck on the build. Are you going to run with the trailer bows. I was thinking this would be a great expedition vehicle.
XanRa yup, I could see a possible tweek being calling your load much like the Jordon/Bird commercials. "One bounce, nothing but deuce!"
I actually found that modifying a ramp worked pretty good for the method I proposed. Again proved with large boulder.
Scary thing is the wife wants to put a boulder in the front of the house and I have been trying to comply with her wishes. Not until I shook off some dust did I remember:oops: that method. Think I will have to try my own idea out on a 400 lb limestone pain in my side this weekend.
Just...
Have not had to try any of these but I would think simplifying the sled method is what I would do.
Required a winch like device in the front of the bed. One 6 foot aluminum ladder, and assorted short pieces of rope.
Position tire like in bucket method but closer to truck with ladder almost...
:ditto: Pic got filed away in projects to someday do!!! Kaiser look alike with an ole gran Cherokee and that A3 bed would be awesome. Could even get an extended cab version!
I heard it was just a concept that was rolled out for Easter Jeep Fest. Rumors of the front clip to be offered in the performance catalog have not been shown true yet. The front clip is the only truely custom piece. Rest is all available on the market now. It has a Tj based bed but its...
:ditto:yup if its uncut or not permanently modified to muzzle loading and BATF approved don't buy it. Also I think its probably Uncle's and loaned to the VFW so they can't sell it. Good luck.
Was funny how this helped me out. Not more than two seconds after my own words posted here rang in my ears a drill bit slipped on some sheet metal and hit the exact spot I had just moved my hand away from. Glad to see you got the nail open though drilling a hole is a bit easier, but it sure...
Mudguppy,
Just some encouragement my Popcorn is getting cold!!!! Can't wait to find out how the bober does in some mud or this year some snow! Hope the weather was to your liking down here in the far south, lol.
heavy duty zip tie, with some duct tape, slight slack in the tie. It will slip from under the tape and sound like everything under the truck is dropping out. Make sure not to have the plane of death near any fuel or cooling lines. One of the favorite shop pranks.
Washers just tear up...
Sorry man...Can't fix stupid!!
Dito on not holding parts. Took me three different times to figure that out. Now I jig everything up. Sometimes .5 hour of clamping to drill one hole saves the pain. Not a fun holiday present hope you feel better.
<<sitting back with popcorn>> what are the plans on the intake side? I noticed the air raid stuffed on the inlet, guessing that will get improved?
Wow!!!! Very cool.
I was wondering why keep the divorced case? Could you not find the right ratios? I would have thought with the 4500 plenty of stout cases available.
