Congrats on the truck, it sure looks nice! Until you get your EUC processed and cleared, I wouldn't get to wrapped up in getting the shipping worked out. It might be a while.
The M983 LET (light equipment transporter) has a midship winch and can be used with M870/M870A1 trailers and the Tru-Hitch FWTRD/HMRT can also be used with M983.
Can you help with my M870A1 trailer?
a. Serial Number (VIN number) ------ S/N 551814 is etched on gooseneck
b. Registration Number -----WRYAC0
c. NSN without dashes -----2330012249245
d. Where you bought it ------private seller
e. Bumper numbers if you can legibly read them ---- 65RRC 448E...
The M870A1 was made by Shoals American Industries but they look to be out of business now. (Load King made the original M870 trailers.) I think Pinnacle Technologies in Shoals, AL might be the successor. I'll try to give them a call.
Does anyone know if/where VIN would be stamped on frame? The gooseneck looks like it may have been replaced. Would gooseneck and main trailer body both be stamped with a VIN?
Good eye on the pipe. It looked like it might tweak a cross-member so we gathered up some pipe to spread the load. No rear outriggers included, but I would be interested in a picture showing these being used. No idea on the trunnion bushings. I don't even know what those are. ;-)
