One Piece Cast Aluminum Rims for Deuce

Cool looking wheels, but I wouldn't expect to sell very many to military truck guys at that price. You would do better marketing them to the rock crawling community.

    Is this an hemtt wheel?

As a point of clarification, my experience has shown that HEMTT wheels have 16 bolts, and that M939 series wheels can also have 20 bolts.

    m105a2 trailer in Oklahoma

How much are you asking for the trailer? If $100 is your asking price, I'll take it.

Fraken-deuce as a tow rig, any reason not to?

Or how about a M920 with shelter/sleeper? 400 hp turbo diesel, 16 speeds, air brakes, selectable transfer, 12v power, adjustable seat, power steering, taller tires, highway speeds no problem, sleeper fits easily, etc. You will be so much farther ahead to start with a M920 to accomplish your...

Fraken-deuce as a tow rig, any reason not to?

Here is a M920 with deuce cargo bed added.

    You didn't see it yesterday?

Fraken-deuce as a tow rig, any reason not to?

Why not just get a "real" truck like a M916 or M920? They can be found for the same price of a deuce.

Towing a commercial trailer with an M-series 5-Ton

The M915/M915A1 were built by AM General with CCC cab. The M915A2 was built by Freightliner, but there aren't many of those in private hands yet.

Towing a commercial trailer with an M-series 5-Ton

Basically- Buy a M818 if you want off-road capability or want the "tactical look" Buy a M915 if you want to go fast on the highway Buy a M915A1 if you want something easy to drive

Towing a commercial trailer with an M-series 5-Ton

As a note, the M916 and M920 tractors will not pull civilian trailers without fifth wheel or kingping modifications.

    New Decking for M870A1

Okay, thanks for the info. I'll look into those clips.

    New Decking for M870A1

BTW, I went ahead and purchased 2x12" apitong lumber for the deck. If it meets OEM specs, good enough for me. :-D

    New Decking for M870A1

Your right, no clamps. Got a source for those? Are they a commercial item? I thought about just using some flat bar stock, angle or some channel; cut into pieces.

    Who knows?

I just checked the NSN on the ones I have and they are NSN 2510-01-004-2621. I think they are for '76.

    Who knows?

I think I have a few in the crate. Was the same grill used in all the M880s?

    Can a M915A1 pull a M920?

I think there were 4 on that trip from Saginaw. Unfortunately, they are not mine. :( I have helped pick up a lot of stuff for other people. :driver:

    Can a M915A1 pull a M920?

As a "just-in-case" measure, it could be done. However, be careful because the tail can wag the dog. I have had a bad expeience flat towing a deuce with M915A1 and will not do it again, unless extreme measures warrant it. Please see this thread...

    New Decking for M870A1

As part of the refurbishment process on my M870A1, I need to purchase new wood decking for it. I know the trailer manufacture Load King uses full 2" rought cut Apitong on all their trailers, but what other suitable alternatives are there for a 40 ton lowboy? BTW, Local prices on Oak are almost...
