Ive got a towbar with adapters all ready to go. I will be glad to help tow it but in Febuary I go back to school and have a new baby coming so I will have absolutely no extra time to play with anything. With all 3 big axles and 10 tires gone it probably weighs just under 10k lbs.
I am about 35 minutes from it, however, I dont have the time, space or money for another project that big. Has anyone who sent him emails about how messed up the truck gotten any replies from him? I didn't.
Heres some on Ebay. No connection to seller.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Military-super-single-Michelin-on-combat-rims-1400x20_W0QQitemZ280062164162QQihZ018QQcategoryZ140748QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
My feedback would be that its great! The way it is now, it could easily be overridden due to the thin metal on the fuel cap. If you welded another piece of angle iron onto the cap and tack welded the bolt threads on the strap bolt it would greatly enhance the security but this setup works great...
There go's my cover! LOL, Just kidding, been trying to get one of these for a little while. Last I talked to the seller he had a few of them but only lists them 1 at a time for good reason. If someone needs it more than me please dont hesitate to bid, I live in Southern California so I have yet...
Heres a link to one on Ebay. I am only posting this because it shows everything needed to piece one together, I have no relation nor do I know the seller. Its a bit pricey in my opinion...
Will, theres a duct box that directs the air to either the floor or the defrost ducts. There is also the 2 cables that control the duct box and air inlet elbow. Dont forget the switch that turns on the fan. I am in need of new ducting myself and have seen guys posting that Napa has it as well as...
Found another interesting sub section to 12500 cvc which is the licensed driver section. 12500 (D) CVC states no person shall drive a motor vehicle or combination of vehicles that is not of a type for which the person is licensed. That means if you are driving a dueceor bigger with a class C...
I just spent a little time looking at the vehicle code book and found nothing giving any exemptions for driving a historical commercial vehicle. Bottom line, if it has 3 or more axles and weighs more than 6000 lbs, you need at least a class B license UNLESS its a "house car" that is less than 40...
I looked into shipping a duece from Hawaii about 5 years ago and it was over $3000. Thats was to ship a running truck that could be driven around so if it doesnt run the price will be higher.
RE: 15.5
Looking good. What did you use to cut the rims? A few step by step pics of the rim widening process would be great, I would like to eventually do the same thing.
