I'd pay a little extra for the service! I didn't have an issue with my truck I just told them it was an old pickup truck.. Ha! But then again it had already been registered in NY state so that helped. My trailer was another issue as the numbers were only 3 digit. I had to get an pencil...
RECONJON, I have to agree with you as to the sparce parts up here and some people think they have rusty gold.. and that's unfortunate..
Here are some pics of my truck, first is rear hubs flipped and then with the new rear end I got that is Not flipped. For clearance of the M105 bed I like it...
Yeah but it wasn't one of those fine tooth comb inspections. It was more like what the heck is that.. do the blinkers work.. OK here's your sticker.. I didn't even have windshield wipers on it!!rofl
You guys are gonna love me.. I found a distributor for Donaldson who can get these ram air scoops right here in the good ole USA. He's near me in NY but will have the part drop shipped to your door via UPS.
I got the scoop for about $75 including tax and shipping, can't wait to get it! Here is...
Gimpy you were right fairly simple but due to the weight of these things not an easy task by yourself.
So here's the rundown. I got the new axle but it didn't have the axle shafts so I used the ones I had which were pitted/rusty in some spots. Water must have gotten in there somehow or...
unclemikey, what scoop did you use? It looks a little different than the Donaldson. I am still searching for a distributor that can sell me the Donaldson scoop.
Thanks,
Wow you got an amazing deal! I would have paid the original $2500 that he paid for both! Can't believe you got a running deuce and trailer for $1500! Best of luck with them..
I put in a request on their site for a US distributor of the one we need for our trucks. I'll post the response when I get it.. Hopefully I can get a seller here in the US..
I think I am going to get one at some point as well for backup to my house. I see the two common models are the 002 & 003. I know the 003 puts out a little more power but is it worth the extra $$? How much extra would you pay between models? I have seen around $500 difference.
Thanks!
Mine are crap, I saw Jatonka's as well but I wanted to try and make my own with some camo material or similar. I will post some pics when I do on this tread but it may be a few weeks before I get to it. Still got to change out my rear end..
