It is all about the epa. They have made the diesel engine into something that is far from it's roots. That is why cat is out of the truck market for now.
My guess would be 4th gear it will fall on it's face about 150-200 feet out with all the fuel turned to it. But that depends on the sled. Would love to be there.
I have used Accurate diesel injection in Orlando Fl. for about 20 years and can say i have always
had everything work perfect and last. Nothing but good things from them.
Motors built in the 70s that made 400 plus hp were 855 cubic inch and larger. Ntc 475 cummins, kta models. Cat 1693, 3408 were 400 and up to 600 hp. These all were about twice the cubic inch. The multi fuel motors were like the 1160 cat that was the old verision of the 3208 another low horse...
If you run the deuce on low or ultra low sulfer fuel it will score the injection pump and damage it. If you are worried about getting your tank dipped you can add an additive to lubercate the pump or if you mix it with a couple gallons of new oil it will not change the the apperance of the fuel...
If you are looking for steps they are easy to get off an rv . Some pull out by hand and others have motors. Most are 12 volt so you could just hook to 1 battrey. Some have two steps and some have three. I have also cut some of the cab brace off the middle were the door closes that is welded to...
That is a great idea. I am insulating my cab and was trying to come up with something to straighting the roof. You can jump on 3/4 wood that has been glassed. Good work.
I have put many red dot a/c units in trucks but never in a deuce. They are top of the line and are an easy install. I was going to put a red dot back wall unit in mine but it took up to much space so i am insulating the cab and putting in a under dash 15000 btu set up. I looked at roof tops but...
Do you have 3 lines coming out of the box? The bottom is the suction that goes to the
tank the small little one in the middle goes to the tank and the top goes to the bottom of the stearing box. Top stearing box line back to the tank. Sounds like you got it right but you did not refer to the...
I do not like the 3116 cat. But almost everyone will last at least a 100000 miles if you do not overheat it. The problems are it uses a fuel rack instead of a common rail or direct injection and it has no liners. This is cats low buget motor. These were all put in recycled a2s so they were...
I have used the freightliner air ride on a couple 3 axle deuces. On one i added 3 feet to the truck put it on 53s and leathened the bed. I spread the tamdems and used torque arms and it would go down the road smooth at 70.
