Hopefully I will have one up and running for the rally too. That is a heck of a drive though

    WTB: MEP's.... 004A and 005A's

Welcome to the site. Be careful though, the MV world is highly addictive and there is no known cure. If you need parts you should just watch GL and pick up a couple cheap ones to strip for their working parts.

May be looking at another M38a1 - need assistance

You need to get that a1 out in the woods where it belongs. When I finally get mine, I want to get it back into motor pool condition but not so nice that I wouldn't take it on the trails.

May be looking at another M38a1 - need assistance

We had a CJ that sat in the garage for 7 years and I can testify that Jeeps are much more fun in the woods than in the garage.

May be looking at another M38a1 - need assistance

When I do finally find one I plan on doing a driving resto and do anything extensive during the winter when it would not be driving regardless.

May be looking at another M38a1 - need assistance

I found another one that I am going to go look at. Hopefully it won't take me 14 years to get it restored though.

    M38 flat towing

I am looking at flat towing a M38a1 350 miles. I do not believe it has lockout hubs, would it be ok to tow it at neutral if I was just doing 55 on the way back? What kind of damage could be done if the drive shaft is not dropped?

    New M38a1 project

That is a very nice jeep for under $5000 invested. It looks really good.

That looks like a pretty good deal for the money, it also looks like a big project

    Proud new owner of M923A1

That is a good looking truck. What year is it?

    Looking at an m1009

I bought mine from a private seller. I just lived on craigslist for a few months until a good deal came up and when it came time to sell my '09 I was able to make some money on it.

    Looking at an m1009

You can probably find a better deal if you look long enough. I got mine for $2000 with no rust at all on the rockers.

    look at this craziness

An M36 with a regular deuce bed and a extended would be cool too. That's what I want to build one of these days when I have money.

What to do with my new M1008

I put in my vote to save it too. It would break my heart to see a '08 go to the scrapper.

Maryland MV owners are in trouble

That's not that bad. Standard tags for my '08 F150 are $120 a year in Michigan.

    Newbie from Northeast Arkansas

Welcome to the addiction. Sound like you have a pretty good start there.

    Should I?

I would give your vacuum lines a good look over before you leave and fix the problem. I would drive the whole way, western canada has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. You will also need a block heater and battery heater for sure when you get up there.

    finally F I N A LL Y winding down

It's a good thing it is not known as a caravan, otherwise Jeremy Clarkson would hunt it down and see to its destruction.

Convert CUCV to 12v pro vs. cons?

Keep it 24v, it should help you when you go to sell it. I know there are a lot of guys (myself included) that would pay more money for a truck that has the original 24v system.

    What is this truck?

I would think so but I am far from an expert. Also I like how the data tag recommends gas with a minimum octane rating of 72; talk about setting the bar low.
