Jeez, can't you children keep your love affair for Sixspeed to the Richloam Rally thread? :)

Bradenton FL truck show and meeting Jan 22, 2011 (ATHS)

Cool! Are you thinking of bringing Frankenstein? Also, if you still have a Cummins 250 to sell might be able to find a buyer for it at the meeting as that engine was used a lot in 1960's commercial trucks. Maybe you can make up a "for sale" board to set out next to your truck with a list of...

Bradenton FL truck show and meeting Jan 22, 2011 (ATHS)

Just wanted to pass on to the SS members located in the central part of Florida that we will be holding an initial meeting to establish a Florida chapter of the Antique Truck Historical Society on the 22nd of January, 2011. The ATHS is open to all types of trucks, civilian and military. We will...

    **Florida Richloam MV Rally**

Okay Tim, payment for the t-shirts has been sent. I almost had an M35 for the rally as one was listed in the classifieds that was just south of me for $2,000 but it sounds like it was long gone and the two ads for it were never removed by the seller. Oh well, maybe next time. Also, I want to...

    **Florida Richloam MV Rally**

Received the PayPal invoice this morning and sent the payment this afternoon. Just let me know if you find out anything about the supersized t-shirts. :) Looking forward to meeting you guys again. I was there for the get together last summer and rode in the back of rbeasley66's deuce and a half...

    **Florida Richloam MV Rally**

Sent a PM to Vinny. I'm looking at coming out on Saturday for the afternoon but it won't be in an MV. I'm going to try to get my USMC KLR250 ready to bring along though but I don't know if I will be able to get it up and running in time (need to find a fuel petcock still). If anyone in the Tampa...

    M916 for RV Build Project

This is only correct in some states ,not all. The federal guidelines say a CDL is required if the truck is used rated at 26,001 pounds or more but gives an exemption for private use and RV's. These guidelines do not say any additional licensing is required to drive a non-commecial big truck or...

    M916 for RV Build Project

I love the idea of what you want to build as I had the same idea several years ago. But that idea was quickly dropped after I drove a long wheelbase semi truck. Making a right turn from a 2 lane road on to a two lane road was a major pain in the arse. I needed both lanes to make the turn and if...

Just noticed your location as SoCal. Sounds like you're already screwed no matter what you do. :) Ruppster

    Stopped by the NCSHP

First off an IFTA sticker is not a requirement. If you are driving out of state a lot then it might be the best way to go about it but you do not "have to" buy the actual IFTA sticker. If you are only going to be driving out of state a couple times a year then you can get temp permits on a case...

That's the one downside with resin. Resin gives a lot of great detail but since resin parts are cast by hand and not machine the labor cost are on the high side. But if you are looking for a rare item a high priced resin kit is better then no kit at all. What I hate is shelling out $200-$300...

Found: 3 Models of Trailers 1/35 Scale

Thanks! Hadn't seen that one. Love the Gama Goat and the M51 recovery vehicle. Also, SMMI is a great magazine. They cover a lot of off the wall kind of stuff. Thanks again for sharing that info. Sent some rep points your way too. :) Ruppster

Found: 3 Models of Trailers 1/35 Scale

Haven't bought any magazines lately but IIRC Miniman Factory makes an M101 trailer (along with a couple of CUCV's) along with some trailers for 6x6 tractors. Another company that has a lot of great resin kits of 6x6's and trailers (from WWII on up) is a company called Real Model. I have some of...

Tampa Toys for Tots Illuminated Donation Ride

I hear you. I just saw it myself for the first time. But then again since you can't put that many lights on a USMC Kawasaki 250 motorcycle guess I wouldn't have done much good anyhow. :) I created that local email list several months ago for things like this but no one is using it. If there's...

    Forest park to deland fl.

My kids will be out of school for the next couple of weeks. If their grandma will watch them for a few days I could possibly give you a hand getting it if you need it. Just let me know if I can be of any help. Ruppster
