the 12 bolt 8 7/8 axle is way better than the 10 bolt in my opinion
carrier split for 44/10/12 bolt is 3.73 and down.....4.10 and up
carrier split for 14 ff is 4.10 and down.....4.56 and up
When I destroyed a set of 3.73s 4 wheelin'(44/14bolt) I found front and rear 4.56 at the...
if I were you...I would get gears from a junk yard(there's nothing wrong with that!)
ditch the gov. loc if you can...they too have a service life and I found the end of it atleast twice on 1/2 ton running gear....anything with clutches is good, just get rid of the pins/springs/etc. Make sure...
if I remember correctly I found specs on my 1008 that said fording depth 20",
If you put electric fans and a snorkel on any truck it'll do way more, my guess is you probably wont go above the door sill though!
drag link is really bad....with a little shake of the wheel it seems fine, but when I had the wife really work it(no pun intended) it would move side to side/ up and down in it's socket, both front and rear of the drag link....the drivers side of the tie-rod is just starting to show movement but...
If the blackout driving light is switched on independantly of the "cats eyes" than how do you do it....my bdl hasn't worked since I got the truck, must be because i'm not switching it on right?
the only things I can really think of are u-joints, loose tranfer case crossmember/bushings, e-brake cables flopping around/rubbing exhaust pipe...maybe even loose caps/u-bolts on driveline/ broken leaf spring/broken exhaust pipe hanger...this ones got me curious, i'd like to know

Today my 1008 started the wobble from some very minoot* bumps on the road, speed limit about 35....slowed down and it went away
A little later driving about 50 I hit the brakes for a stop light and it wobbled worse...
the problem does not seem to be vaccuum to me......maybe a partially clogged filter, it's a cheap try......if you replace filter, make sure that you re-use as much of the origanol fluid as possible. Nothing will make a old, almost ready to fail transmission go to it's grave quicker than 8 new...
shot in the dark
bolts should be 3/8, if vise grips dont work than you'll have to drill it out...bummer
if you look under the truck i'm confident the issue will stand out, or do what I do when I cant find the problem....wait till' something breaks!
I haven't found many previous threads for some reason, I would think that (IP) (rubber hoses) would have given more info......
My 1008 has a rubber line going from filter to IP pump...it's getting noticably worn and someone has double hose clamped it under the intake!!(cant be factory right?)...
custom lift
I guess I didn't really read the article correctly! 5" of CUSTOM lift....that changes things a little, as I am still skeptical of how this is even possible.....I can really wrap my head around it with a few numbers......
Distance in inches from top of spring pad in...
Is this a first?
first off thanks to all who are trying....
no dome light in my kuk-vee
I tried the fuse trick with no results....
blackout lights work as normal, no lights on while key is off, or otherwise
The alt guage does not go off when key is turned off.......I wired a switch...
