I had two 525cca bateries and starting issues on and off Since buying my M1009. Then I switched recently the primary to a 950cca and have not had a problem since. Will see how it goes this winter. Starts like nobodys bz right now.
I googled it and found this site in Cranston.

May want to give them a call.
Down south you can get by without heat, but I do have propane as a back up when the electric heat is not available and also found using my propane fire place a few hours every night when it's...
All I had to do is haul a 75mm pack howitzer about 2 hours each way on a 16" trailer with no trailer bracks or sway bar in an underpowered F150. Only issues were the stopping and starting time/distance.
When drilling hard metal like that do not apply force and keep the drill straight/perpendicular to th surface being drilled. If you break the drill bit off in mild steel it's tough to pick out; in harden steel it's a real bugger. I know this from experience. Same thing with the tap. Use plenty...
I do not think the top I have is actually for a M101. It has extra material for an angled (pitched roof type top). Center is about a foot higher than the sides.
U joints a real tough. Unless you are doing hard accelerations, you would get the same indications before a catastrophic failure. I have done the same thing years ago when I was stationed overseas. Got the wrong u joint and made it work until the next replacement came in. Just had to drive it...
Makes me want another MV.
It reminds me of picking up our new HMMWVs at the port in Suadi during the Gulf War. I said, so they come with a windshield and the back doors blocked out; all stripped like this? They said yes. You order the kit to make it a truck or sedan and soft or hard top...
If I do not start my M1009 for about a month, I have to take a long pipe. Slide it down between the engine and firewall, so it is on top of the starter and tap it with a hammer. I have used a heavy walled pipe as well without a hammer and tapped it. I think the starter bendix is sticking from...
Looks assume. I have thought about adding two more batteries so there would be two of each in parallel, since the new batteries only take up half the space in the battery trays. That way I would have a little more juice to back up my 4k inverter.
I have a MEP017a new to me generator that does not have a throttle cable installed. Upon further investigation I found the choke not connected to the electric solenoid, so I connected that.
Can someone post a few pictures of theirs so I can add a choke cable and verify the linkage?
I have a M116 with a Humvee cover on it. The original covers are hard to find and to expensive. I am putting sides on using two 6" 5/4 deck boards. About a foot high. Is that high enough to latch a M101 trailer cover on? Or do I need to use one more deck board? Also, what is a Humvee soft cover...
RustyStud. I wish I had noticed that odd seam before buying them. Will pass them to a friend that does small engine repair. I'm sure he could use some extra gas cans.
Will check out the local Northern Tool.
I did find an old style online for $45 with shipping. Inside looked clean but exterior needs cleaning and painting.
I have 4 old style brackets, but one is 1/2" wider than the other 3.
After talking to etrailer tech, turns out that hub will not work. They have bearings and races at a nice price, but no hub that will work. So I'm gong to see where I can attach an 8 lug spare so it's out of the way on my M116a2 trailer.
