Wisconsin dot to propose mv ban

The best argument by far I believe is pointing out the multifuel burning abilities of diesel-powered MVs. I think you could make the argument that a ban would certainly decrese Wisconson's ability to dispose of waste motor oil and waste vegetable oil in a most expedient fashoin. In fact, I feel...

    Pop-up campers

I have a line on a plywood sided camper locally. We'll see! A friend of mine drove The Cheetahmobile (M109) home for me today. He said the only probem he noticed was the exhaust elbow is shot and letting exhaust into the cab via the passenger side ventilator. Time to get started on the light...

    Alabama Military Campout

I won't be in any shape to drive. Right elbow surgery on 28 August to remove arthritic tissue and bone spurs. Hurts like the dickens to turn the steering wheel to the left on my deuce and am losing strength in that lower arm. Good excuse to buy that air assist steering kit though :-D I thought...

    Deuce Traffic

Saw a wonderful sight on the way to the Dr office today. A Deuce in really nice condition traveling in the opposite direction loaded to the top with boxes. I can see a time coming soon when Deuce and a half traffic will be a regular sight around Huntsville. I gave him/ her a big wave as they...

    Pop-up campers

While laid up I've been busy drawing interior layouts and bouncing ideas off Margaret (wife). We sure would like to get this up and running in time for the GA rally in October!:-D

    Pop-up campers

Does anyone know where old pop-up (or other type) campers go to die? I'd like to find a used one. The only criteria is that the air conditioning/ heating unit still works and has other salvageable items like water and electric hook-up feedthroughs, maybe a small fridge, sink, potty chair? I want...

    Picked up two more

Yes, the OD Syndrome has it's hooks in me. Snagged an M35A2 with winch and soft top AND an M36A2C Dropside. Man that's a long bed on that baby. Good thing I picked up TWO 35 gal fuel tanks at the last auction! Now all I have to do is heal up from hernia surgery and get going on my camper...

    Mandatory Deuce tools

So what tools do y'all consider "can't do without" when working on the Deuce? I have a 3K engine hoist, engine stand, a solid Rock Maple work bench, drill press, band saw, parts washer, and a good many hand tools. I feel I need to get a set of 3/4-inch drive ratchet/ sockets, an impact wrench...

Help Bad Water Leak on My Deuce

You want to hear something funny? I used to own various British sports cars and never minded working on them. After I got rid of them and had more modern cars, I got to where I couldn't stand to work on the frickin' things. Now that I have the Deuce, I'm back not minding it so much and actually...

Do you need a working in tank FUEL pump??

I'm late here (3+ years). Any way to still get an in-tank pump?

    Adding a fuel tank

Sounds good to me! I think I'd have to do a manual switching between fuel tanks. Kind of like switching tanks in a Cessna. Maybe locate the 3-way valve in the cab? Also need to figure a way to heat the WVO in tank #2. It gets chilly in North Alabama in the winter. I wonder if it would be better...

    Adding a fuel tank

I have a 35 gallon tank I'm planning on adding to the M109A2. I have a couple of choices for electric fuel pumps- 24VDC, negative ground, either 30 or 32 GPM, anti-siphoning valve optional. Opinions welcome! :-D Also opinions needed about where to locate the new tank. I was thinking about...

It once was tan, now its blue!!!

That's an interesting idea- pull up next to the wall, mask off everything you didn't want painted, and let them "tag" away. Another pop culture icon born!

    Serious injury of a deuce......

Just as long as it didn't get the cowl and firewall top you'll be fine. Even if it got those, it's still far from a loss. Even dented it's a great lookin' truck!

    i'm new and here's why...........

Hey Mike- Thanlks for the heads up. Actually it's just not clamped down. The clamps are there dangling by the headlights. Texas Redneck- That's a nice truck! Did you get to start it up and put it in gear? If so, did the air pressure come up OK? BTW, if being a redneck means you love The...
