its a crap shoot. you can look at the GL pictures and some obvious problems might be visible but in reality the frame and suspension is going to be usable on most and hose are really the only things your gonna see in those pics. you can look for obvious missing/broken components. rust and body...
i just recovered mine from there last week. when was the last time you viewed the truck? i only ask because mine was in similar condition at bid but by the time i got to it the brakes where shot and tarp was gone. for prob around ~400 there is a tow company i used to get mine moved the same...
doghead: i will consult my copy of the ny v and t law but im curious in reguards to how this truck is more a flatbed than a pick up? i would point to the ford f650 and international cxt as examples of other "pick up trucks" with similar GVW. i wasnt so much asking the question in reguards to law...
my truck is a 1971 general products m32a2. my question is whether i can put "jeep" in for manufacturer on the sf-97 to save myself hassles with dmv? i plan on listing it as a "pickup" under type and everything else is self explanatory. well except the vin. do i use the whole SN # or the short vin?

add to the list of problems the winch... played with it a few min while i was with the truck, didnt engage the pto but i tried to free spool it to no avail, could be the drum brake but add in the fact that the dog clutch lever is stuck solid (disengaged) and i think ive got issues. and yes i...
mine was "driven onto lot, does not start." won my bid and had a member go check it out a week before my load out. he reported back no brakes. paid a wrecker $400 to move it a hundred miles closer to me. new batteries and some fresh diesel and it started right up. the brakes are still an issue...
air filter is new just 100 miles ago according to the info on it and it looks it too, i already pulled the vents from the rear axles to clean em. the gear lube ill check before bringing it home but i don't have the cash at the moment to address a change out and im taking up room that has so...
