not me in the pic, just my friend/co-buyer. the other is as it sits for now. didnt have a chance to get more but i will.
and on an interesting note, i drove through a tornado in snow shoe pa on my way home... that was fun...
have yet to pull the drums but when we tried to bleed we only got a small amount to come out, it just isn't building any pressure. there is no dampness except from the front right and that looked like a boot. ill take a closer look to be safe of course.
had it towed out of Mechanicsburg about 90 miles west to a Karl's place, again thank you for letting me bring it your way. first id just like to say if anyone is looking to have something towed out around this site give a call to Jerry's Towing. Jerry was very patient with the hold ups at GL and...
two issues:
no break pressure, no resistance when the i push the brake. the master cylinder was dry when i recovered it. added some DOT5 and still nothing. interestingly the master doesnt seem to be losing fluid when i pump the brake but maybe leaking around the front seal where the peddle...
not exactly. wed at noon is the load out and ive got two two companies willing to tow it the 90+ miles to a fellow SS members property where i can make it road worthy. cost is still an issue but im making headway. if anyone here has the means and is willing to help i would be grateful.
going Wed do pick it up from Mechanicsburg, unless i can find someone here that can help me it looks like its getting towed 90 miles west to State college, check out my thread in transportation if you can help in that department.
as of now it has no brakes, i have yet to get a look at it so...
update, Karl was able to get a look at the truck for me when he was on the lot, thanx again, NO BRAKES!! so options are flat tow or flatbed. local storage is an option. i just need it off the lot and can figure it out from there. ill rent space donw there if needed.
opinions and suggrestions...
i cant think of anything funnier than seeing a bunch or pink tanks storming across the dessert. that's even more funny than that story about the soldier in nothing but pink underwear during a gun fight...
Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear. My euc is all set, paid invoice in hand. I just need to set up my load out appointment. I didn't wanna set a date until I have a plan. This couldn't have come at a worse time for me. Two weeks ago or a month from now would have been fine.
I am calling in the...
truck purchased 4/16, EUC submitted, revisons requested and resubmitted, sent to BC on 4/27, notified 7/12.
i find it a very strange coincedence that two days after i emailed BC and GL i get the notice.
and this is my first
the short of it im a little tight on cash at the moment, moving ect. just got my paid in full from Mechanicsburg. i need to set up an appointment and get this thing off the lot. it might jump but we all know how that goes. ill be contacting tom to find out if they can try. im going down with new...
a more interesting quesion to me would be can they be modified to function while only using one of the two cylinders? this could be a solution to providing a redundent breaking system on the trucks, well at least one part of the solution.
sorry to take this off track but it occurs to me that this might be a good time to get a recovery done from mechanicsburg. got an m35a2 that needs getting (assuming my EUC clears this century...). im gonna try and get down either way for this as its only a few hours out from some property ive...
prob look nice in my opinion. kinda like a bad ass f650 or cxt. the standered deuce or 105 beds would work but that truck might even look ok with a pickup bed, never been a fan of that setup on the m35 tho.
Ruppster is right tho, plenty of people around here will not favor the idea, but ****...
