i dont think a little chrome would be terrible. saw one a while back with just the stack and mirrors, along with gloss paint it was almost tasteful. yes its not exactly retaining the heritage of the vehicle, but as has been said, its better than letting it rot or being scraped. too much chrome...
looks right but thats not everything, im not aware of there being differant models, but im still kinda new around here. two things id ask, are you mounting it in from the back? and is there paint or corrosion on the threads of the switch? additionally how are the threads of the cable?

there is a mount under the rails but the springs are out side the rails. found this pic: http://www.phines.com/truck1/truck3.jpg
yeah, i read that thread. i was in the air about the structural integridy of using the trailer frame under the deuce frame, i might make a frame from boxed stock...

youd be better off buying one off a private party and if it blows up youd have enof cash left to buy another. unless you...
are you mechanicly savy? if there is no kind of waranty from the dealer than i see little point. my understanding of these trucks is that they are old and require good maintenance to stay reliable, if you are able and willing to do that then the private party would be a better choice, if not...
after much reading and many searches i have a few questions, please help or point me in the right direction.
i have looked at both options for bobbing a deuce, front suspension vs trailer, and what i want is to retain the hight without lift blocks while still mounting the leafs outside the...
