Hey Bob, I still have those photos from Veteran's Day to get to you.....
It may seem early to start planning dates, but I'm booking stuff (photo shoots) into fall 2010 already.
I think this year's show (2010) will be even better as long as the weather is good.
The 33rd annual COMVEC show has been scheduled for Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Chester Fairgrounds, Chester, CT (same location as the 2009 show). The 2009 show was a great success and it is hoped that the 2010 show will be even bigger and better!
Some photos from the 2009 COMVEC show...
If you keep looking at EBay long enough, you'll find one of the AFV kits for under the retail price. I bought 2 from EBay under $40, one under $30, so with patience and luck it can be done. Look for ones with beat up boxes, the collectors don't want them but if you are going to built it, who...
Interesting. I have several of the 1/35 AFV Deuce kits, they are very detailed but the instructions are somewhat lacking. I'm working on my first one, it's been a few years so some of my skills (and my eyesight) are lacking......
What about a 1/25 M-37???? Bueller, Bueller........;-)

It would be a tough restore, but the reason I put it up was to give the truck every chance possible before being sent off to become a Toyota. I really hope someone tries, or at least wants parts to make another one run.
If this is the wrong place for this, Mods please move. While on my way home, I happened across what appears to be a WW2 era Chevy 1 1/4 ton truck. The for sale sign says Chevy army truck, a phone number and $750. It's located in Cheshire, CT in front of Bishop's Farms.
I didn't want to get...
Ok, why do you know? I'd guess that they can blow out (or blow a seal) and the ensuing loss of hydraulic pressure in the braking system leads to a great big pucker factor event???;-)
Congrats! Does the LDS add anything to the top speed? I understand that the LDTs are maxed at about 50mp. I wouldn't think so as the drivetrain and gearing would be the same, but you never know.
Just curious how they would address a HMV operating on their roads that was legally registered in another state? Or better yet, a HMV registered out of state as a commercial or other use vehicle? If folks are coming into WI for a meet, (as long as they aren't driving a tracked vehicle) are...
I have a chance to purchase a M-29c Weasel but I'd like to get a ballpark price for transportation charges. It's in CO, I'm in CT. Not sure about timeframe, I'm in no big rush but can't say the same about the seller. I'm told it runs and as it's tracked, I wouldn't see any loading/unloading...
