Price is dependent on where you are. In this area, $4500 for 2 running deuces would be a red flag. Maybe not elsewhere. It's starting to sound a little better, but I'd still proceed cautiously and I would talk with DMV. It could be he is selling because he can't get them registered. I would...
All states are different when it comes to titles. Some let you apply for a title and/or register without a title for vehicles over a certain age. I would suggest you check with the local DMV and see what the requirements are.
As for your original question, $3500 for both seems like a good...
I agree with Deuce259, I'm more of a purist. I don't like to see things made into something else, especially if there aren't many of them around. Given what you say about the major differences between yours and a true PBR, I'm not sure it would work out. The PBR purists would probably not go...
Thanks, looked up the MTA show and it looks like a good one. I'll be sure to put it on my calender as soon as I get one for 2010! Hope to meet you there.
Finally got my photos processed and uploaded,
Redball Military Transport Show 2009 aka Gilbert Photo Gallery by baywing at pbase.com
Enjoy!
Go easy on the ID's, guys, I'm still green.
I didn't know that was you, sorry, or I would have introduced myself. As a FNG around here, I'm still fumbling my way around. I was the guy with the 2 cameras, we spoke for a little bit Sat PM. I'll be posting a link to my photos once I get them uploaded to my gallery later today. I finished...
They are coming. I was shooting all weekend, fell asleep at the computer last night. I have 1100 shots to go thru, process and upload (just the best, not all 1100!!). I'm hoping by mid-week......They will be worth the wait!
It was a great day, well worth the 7 hours on the road. Special thanks to Rick for that wild weasel ride near the end of the day! I'll post pics mid-next week, I haven't clue how many I took, but there are probably 1000 or more to process, so it may take a few days. I'll let you all know when...
I'd like to believe the weatherman, I really would........
I'd like that job, too, as it's the only one I know of where you can be wrong most of the time and make 6 figures doing it!
I'm finally remembering some of my brake troubleshooting ideas from many yeras ago. I used to take a long highway drive after letting the truck sit over night. I had a route where if I was careful, I could get to the highway without touching the brakes. I'd run 20 miles to an exit with an...
I figured that. I don't have a MV (yet) so I'm looking, asking questions and saving. As I do the photog thing, I'm more interested in the vehicles that show up. I hope weather doesn't become a factor, but if it does, I like to weigh my options and knowing what they are helps in that dept.
Thanks. I figured more folks will be going Sat with work schedules, etc, so there would likely be more vehicles around. I'm driving 3+ hours to get there, planning on knocking the gates down in the AM and staying until I get thrown out! ;-)
Could be the caliphers if the pistons are hanging. If they are new, that is doubtful. Next thing to look at is the rear brakes, are they working? If not, all the stress gets put on the fronts. If all is well, then the operator is the next place to look. It's a heavy vehicle, one must drive...
Ok, I'm a FNG and know it, so if this has been mentioned already, shoot me!
I've read a few threads here about how to keep a duece from roaming and I thought of one thing I haven't seen mentioned. Not knowing much about diesels (yet) I don't know if it's a viable option, but I'll put it out...
Guess I've been lucky, I've never had a time-out either. Use Firefox at home, IE at work because the IT guy knows more about it than I do......yeh, right.....believe that and I've got a bridge to sell you in NYC.
