Ms. Redline300:
I have taught welding. I know welders that can't weld auto bodies that well. Keep up the good work. Remember the only way to prevent weld spatter burns is to not weld, now you are a welder. I did see a child in the background while you were welding. Kids don't know not to look at...
Mr. Oldsouthernboy:
Now that is what I call a great deal. You don't find good shops like that anymore.
Mr. idM1028:
You don't need jack stands or a floor jack to change out your shocks. Just unbolt the old shocks and install the new ones.
Thanks, Hotdog
Is a South Carolina Rally possible?
If we can't work out a Rally time or place, how about a meet at a restaurant? It doesn't require alot of planing, you just have to be hungry.
Your MV may need refueling on some Saturday and it could take you by a Cracker Barrel and you might be staving...
Mr. Smokinyota:
In the picture of the stuff in the back, it appears the you do have a single pin NATO slave cable with the two pin adapter inserted in both ends.
You might want to check it out, but don't get rid of your adapters the come in handy.
Thanks, Hotdog:jumpin:
Mr. epitts:
I did not note that I installed it in my M-1028. However a few years ago I installed the same dome light in my M-1009 so the install is almost the same.
After selecting the location I drilled a 1/2" diameter hole in the top of the truck taking care not to drill through the roof of...
Mr. 319:
Here are some pictures of the hitch installed with the spare tire installed in the correct location. I miss spoke as you can see in the pictures. I swapped the locations of the mounting bolt on the M-1028. On the M-1008 the mounting bolts are on the correct sides but on both trucks the...
Mr. M1008driver:
Two years ago I installed a 12,000 lbs receiver hitch and electric brake controller on my M-1028 to pull a 8,000 lbs Cobra helicopter. I have install several of these hitches on CUCV trucks.
The spare tire will if back in the original location by moving the left side drop bolt...
OK South Carolina Guys/Gals, that is two invites in one thread from Mr. Ferro!
I think a mini-mini meet and greet is in order. Even if it is a drive-by/stop & go.
Thanks, Mr. Ferro

Mr. EDM567:
As Mr. Jerry Clower (God rest his sole) said, you will have to go to the airport to turn that thing around.
The Aiken airport is a nice airport.
Mr. Ferro said he has an acre to park trucks.
Thanks, Hotdog
It does not appear that us South Carolina boys are as good as the Georgia boys are at getting together.
I wonder if we could change that?
Thanks, Hotdog
Mr. Combat Jump:
I have been a pipe welder for many (+30 ) years. You have what I will
never have, you are a very good fabricator. I can make things work, but I
can't see the end results until I make it which leads to strange looking
things in my scrap pile.
Thanks for the post and pictures...
