That makes an awesome welding truck. What kind of welder do you have in it. Maybe show some pics of your set up. I am a welder at a coal company. Always wanted to go out on my own, and start a small business. bill
Hey, I see a 1952 xm-211 on ebay that is real interesting to me. It needs some restoration to be road worthy. Is there much supply available?. It says it needs brakes. I see in the pics there is rust. Does anyone sell body parts? And it looks like the windshield wipers are rusted off...... I am...
I am somewhat familiar with these truc ks. I was an Army welder for 4 years. Had an old one a Ft. Hood , TX, assigned to me. Back in the 90's. I am still around some diesel trucks and equipment nowadays, because I weld for a coal company, and we lend a hand with the mechanics quite a bit...
Hi, I have a local lead on a m-35 which the owner says the engine has a knock. Is this a common problem? Are replacement engines out there? How much? And is this a project that people should attempt, or just keep looking for one with a good engine. Whats the value of a duece if the...
I have been been checking out as many threads as I can about gun mounts. Seems that the M-66 ring mount is the one most people have. Is there any type of other mounts that arent so big and heavy, and expensive. What I would eventually like to do is mount a browning .30 cal. Is there any...
Karl, thanks for the invite. I will let you know when I'll be down in State College so I can meet up. I assume your happy with your Duece since you still have it.
Randy, I think they stopped having the Snow Shoe mud races around '94 or '95. I went there a few times when I was a junior...
Are you going to leave it red? or do you have other plans?
mdmorgan your truck has a cool blue camo. I think rebel-raiders truck could be the red equivelent.

Give it a military paint job. You can get repair pannels for that bed really reasonable. Weld em in....or rivet them....I saw a few CUCV's that way when I was in the Army. Check the local savage yards. Ford Tailgates are interchangeable for many years...... Maybe even 70's to the late 90's...
I agree with replacing all rusted metal with clean metal welded in. When the welds have been tested leakproof, thouroughly clean and dry and coat them with some type of epoxy paint. If applied to manufacturers specs, epoxy paints will seal for a lifetime, but it cannot have any inclusions or...
"The 3/4" Weldon shank annular cutters (Rotobits) attach to that "
as Jones said.
I would look into getting that type of attachment. I have used these annular cutters for drilling, and they are the way to go. The mag drill is the only way to go when doing frame modifications. I never did...
Hi, I'm new here. I am trying to get into the MV hobby. Not sure what I might purchase or aquire, but I am certain that I would like to get something. I am really leaning towards a Duece. Price, availability, and usefullness, makes it seem like a reasonable choice. I am a family man, and...
I am very new to this site. Been lurking for a few days. Anyhow. Went to Kublos last winter to buy some Humvee tires. Saw all the trucks, and have been wanting one since. His prices seem real good, and he was a heck of nice guy. Let us look all around his property and through all the...
