Thanks MT16, I didn't just take anything behind the seat.. There is a tank mounted there that held the extra fluid that went into this PTO. right next to where I added it manually. They cut off the connection I guess when they bobbed it. Based on what you are saying I suppose the oil in there...

crazywelder, Sewerzuk has a pretty good thread called "everything I did to my deuce right here" he goes over a few options of 12v conversions. I like the way he did his.. I think it addresses your concerns. Not sure if you read that one.. it's a long one but great!

ODdave.. I have never gotten it engaged.. I tried it a few times putting the lever in the cab all the way down all the way up.. nothing. When the engine is off and I put it up, if I try to turn the coupling it does not turn, in any other position it spins freely, so I assume up is engaged...

Scott, on mine the piston push rod had a slit at the top of it. I was able to hold that with a screwdriver and turn the nut and it came off. You could also put the pushrod (Not piston itself) in a vice with "soft jaws" as to not scratch the rod. If you don't have soft jaws I used in the past...
