This might sound extreme but think of "snap on" & "stack on" tool boxs.
One is a lot cheaper than the other & there is a reason why, apples to oranges.

Check out the shifter for an M1010 (it's more rearward).
What I mean is when it's in 2 high the lever isn't as far forward.
The shifter handle is indexed differently, shifter is in same location as all other Cucv 208's
The problem with that & a bench seat is it will interfere when trying to put...
Was the lift installed on level ground ?
Was the suspension tighten up with vehicle weight on it ?
You could have a weak spring or bound up suspension.
Loosen shackle mounts frt & rear on level ground & retighten.

Is yours an A1 or A2 ?
That sure is one way to do it.
Ive pulled the complete setup off an A1 without removing anything but the hydraulic system.
Not bashing you, but why did you remove all those parts ?

I would like to do away with the tower controls in the cab & go a little more slim line (more room in the cab).

There is no way that would fit on our trucks (external dimensions are way to large)
The clearance between trans (at pto location) and pass frame rail is way too close.
