Pretty much what datguyc said.
They are all the same bolt pattern (8 on 6.5) and width.
The 8 bolt wheels aren't as strong as the 12 bolts (more space between the bolts) means they are easier to bend.
The 8 bolt wheels were designed for the bias ply 36's & magnesium runflats.
The 12 & 24 bolts...
Which t-case do you have 205 or 208 ?
Edit: didn't see 2nd page, assuming its a 205.
Lube shifter pivot, you can also modify the rails (little grinding on the detent notches) to make it shift easier.
CUCVLOVER
A NEW 6.2 didn't even run like a scalded dog !
Thank you for this mornings laugh out loud.
Not bashing you, just found this to be entertaining,
kinda like the police chase in a prius.
Thats some really good advise right there.
Weights & scales is hammering people in Texas pulling trailers.
I have been pulled over numerous times when I pull my 14k gvw trailer with my 15k gvw personal truck only to check license.
It really pisses them off when they can't write me a "out of...
And there are always exceptions.
The Cucv's with 205's use the "long input" with the older fig 8 pattern adapter.
I have 3 of these trucks (with factory 205's), all have figure 8 adapters with LONG inputs.
Except the Cucv's, they used the figure 8 adapter with the "long" input.
All of the M1031's & M1028A1's used the long 205 input with the figure 8 adapter.
Since you are keeping your original trans (400), you will need to swap to a long 205 input in the 205.
I would suggest rebuilding the tcase while you have it out & are replacing the input gear.
No intermediate shaft or coupler on the 400/205.
The 205 uses a female shaft to male 400 shaft.
You will probably need the "long" input shaft for the 205 to bolt it up to your stock turbo 400.
I dont remember the shaft lengths off hand but the adapters are different thicknesses.
Also to confuse things, there are different output lengths depending on year, type of adapter & t-case option
