Why were you using a saw to remove the plastic plate? If you removed the black trim, there is a bracket holding the block off plate in place. Remove bracket = hole for radio. Mind you, its for an old style knob radio so you would have to cut some metal for a newer style...but the black trim...

Maybe your intake is clogged? Maybe a rodent made a nest? Sure sounds like not enough air, too much fuel, or timing. You could try advancing the timing slightly by rotating the pump towards the driver side. Only do so when the engine is OFF.

Sometimes it helps to have a helper when tightening the power steering pump in place. I like to use a pry bar from underneath and have my son tighten the bolts from above. Goodyear gatorbacks also help.

Just a heads up, the PTO system does not use a pickup on the harmonic balancer. It uses a mag pickup in the PTO itself to monitor PTO shaft rotation.

You have a M1010 charging system in that M1028. I suggest you start looking for a battery equalizer!

Use one of the ignition controlled 12v spots on the left side of the fuse box. You should have 2 or 3 free ones. They are single spade, non fused, so make sure you add an inline fuse.
