The guy that bought my Mog has a Discovery and he pulls an M416 which is perfect for it. I think an M101 would be too much weight for a Discovery.

The bolster trailers are very similar to the M1061 5ton trailer. Same wheels and tires. However, because of the telescoping tongue, I would imagine that you would have less "fish tailing" when towing a load. I had my M1061 loaded with a Unimog and over 60mph, it swerved all over the place...

It really depends on the insurance carrier. Some carriers require a rider on your policy. However, most insurers will insure anything that is attached to your vehicle. If you want extra coverage on the contents of what's on the trailer, you would need a rider.
