The Burb and the Blazer HAVE the same rear window set up...
Take a CLOSE LOOK at your rear tailgate. How is the rubber at each corner? And if you did NOT order any of the OTHER pieces you will be ordering it sooner, rather than later.
Maybe this will help a little - a break down of the rear...
There are SEVERAL pieces to the rear seal kit
It's NOT one piece. I can't remember right now, but six or seven pieces seems to be the number that comes mind.
DO NOT replace one or two pieces, because you WILL end up replacing them all in the long run if they are shot.

my bad - LMC...
WHICH fuel hoses are leaking?
In what part of the engine bay? How is your fuel filter(square thing on the passenger side fire wall in the engine compartment)?
Lots of possible issues and most won't cost much to fix, as long as you are handy with your tools.
We would gladly offer advice but...
Have you checked your GROUND CONNECTION up under the dash, drivers side? up high on the left hand side wall there is a crimp on style connector that provides ground for a LOT of the dash. Unplug it and replug it in after cleaning the spade it's on. When I did that, the lug came off in my...
I'm SURE there are other inspection stations around - I believe if you leave it as the military bought it, it's EXEMPT from emissions - at least that's what my guy told me in CO - in Texas, register it as an FMV and NO inspection required - but you supposedly can't ever drive them except ...
I do understand the 'new car' fever (or new to YOU)
been there, done that about twenty times in the past forty years
and I DO understand the sirens song a new car can be (and I've actually owned ONE actual new car - the rest were 'new to me' cars that I saw as new regardless their age)...
is this a CHRYSLER ONLY event?
Don't own any Chrysler's, but several MV's, including an MKT - check out the club we have just started at the website below
let me know if us 'non chrysler mv's' would be welcome
I just finished replacing the U-joints on my 1991 Suburban - and with the help of my buddy Randy, he noticed that the rear yoke at the diff was actually slightly loose (you could wiggle it very slightly). So we removed the nut, cleaned the threads on both the nut and the bolt, applied red...
Short answer is YES
THE LONG ANSWER involves filtering, possibly washing fuels, blah, blah, blah --- more than I know about - but you can do it
But I don't think I would go any more than some kind of 75 - 25 mix with the 25 being the 'oil' that you want to mix in... but again, I'm sure...
I own TWO CUCV's right now. I've owned two more. AND A DEUCE.
Sorry WM, but you can KEEP your deuce - takes 'Soldier B' way to many times any time maintenance is required. It's even difficult just changing tires by yourself if you don't have a robotool to get the lug nuts off, and a 10 ton...
could very easily be a cracked flexplate
I'm not able to tell you how to diagnose the problem and I had it fixed when I was having a tranny rebuilt in my M1009 - they asked about my flexplate - I had no idea it's condition - when they showed me the one they removed, you could twist it slightly...
OK, good man. When most of us would have just called it a day. You put your thinking cap on and 'got 'er done'
can't do any better than that - these ARE tough trucks
and people wonder why I carried two spares
He's already on his way back home. HOWEVER, I'm going to go get him some time this summer. He is giving me a set of 8 lug 3/4 ton axles. I'll got them and him. He's going to help me swap them under my M1009 Blazer.
SO, he should be back in the next two or three months. Check the When/Where...
I've just found a set of 3/4 ton Suburban axles - 8 lug so I can basically just swap them in and get both the 8 lug and the 16" wheels/tires that I seek.
Good luck with your swap. Love to see the overall results.
Gentlemen,
My apologies all the way around. We've had out of town company this past few days. So I was aware but completely tied up with 'things'. PLUS the club meeting, which went well. We are attempting to line stuff up with a little more 'lead' time.
From what I've read here, it will...
That's a bitchin truck dude...
LOVE the tires/wheels
you will like that truck a bit more if you quiet it down.

Your truck is looking great
speedo has been swapped out...
the six digit odo was/is the new replacement - in the 84 model (which all CUCV's are based on) the odometer was only five digits...
that's NOT to say the mileage is wrong, but you cannot be sure because of the swap
and that is a beautiful looking M1031 - I kinda...
one question
is the flex plate CRACKED? unfortunately the only way to check it is to physically remove it and twist it. any crack become immediately apparent. ask me why I know this...
hopefully your starter issues have been resolved... always a good feeling for sure
If you need a Diesel mechanic, go talk to the guys at 'Diesels Only' over on 1400 W. Alameda - they do diesel inspections - there is ONE GUY there who was an Army mechanic years ago and he loves the old green iron.
If you ask them nicely, they can do what ever you want. That's where I used to...
