most states nowadays won't title anything that old, all you can get is a transferable registration.... The body tag, ( frame on Kaiser, Firewall on Ford, Trans hump on AMG) is not a vin#, its an assembly line sequence number and may be duplicated on other jeeps. Spots to check for the military...
The M4 pedestal and M142 cradle used on the M151's was set up for the M-60 MG. while you could put a M-2 50 cal on that pedestal, the jeep's sheet metal wasn't strong enough and tended to rip apart from the recoil after a short while... the m1919 was used on much older jeeps.

Don't get too hung up on a title and miss a good deal. M151's are old enough now that most states won't title them anymore. If it has a transferable registration (which is all you can get in NY for example) you should have no problem transferring ownership and getting plates. It CAN be a real...
The AB-558 antenna base is essentially the same thing as the AB-15, but designed to fit the mounts for the MX-6707. They're cheap, fit without cobbing anything up, and even look better than the AB-15. They use the same whip sections and should work fine for CB...

in NY my m101a1 had a serial number that match a 1964 ChrisCraft boat. They balked at first then had me do a pencil tracing of the dataplate. With that they were satisfied and issued the registration.

I made an adapter which had a flat four 12v connector on one end and a mil 12 pin socket on the other for less than 20 bucks. I made it from a flat four harness you can pick up at any auto parts store, a used military vehicle 12 pin trailer socket which is widely available from surplus dealers...
at this point a local state of emergency has been declared in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties. Numerous roads have been closed due to high water levels.
I don't think much serious damage has occurred yet, but this stuff doesn't crest til sometime tomorrow morning. It's possible some...
I just changed the bulbs to 12v, and made an adapter from an old mv receptacle and four flat plug. no mods are needed either to the trailer or the tow vehicle that way. its the cheapest and easiest way to make it street legal and usable with any tow vehicle. I used a Y cable to feed a license...
