looking at the pics, my opinion would be a 1972-73 AMG , since it has no emissions stuff, and is definately a AMG tub. As someone else said, contact Muttguru with your datatag info and he can likely give you a very good estimate of manufacture date.

My A1 came with a spare tire mounted inside the bed on the passenger side , using what appears to be a M-37 door tire mount complete with 3 handled spinner... I got it from the NJ nat'l Guard.

You just loosen the screws and turn the jumper link around to the other screw. The 3513 box is for connecting a KY-57 scrambler to the radio and will serve no purpose for you. Hope this helped...

I have a demilled M60 I mount on my mutt when showing it here in NY. I haven't had any issues so far with it. However I agree with most of the guys here that public perception can have a big effect on our hobby, and so dismount it other than when its in a show or parade...

unfortunately, the data plate is the only location on a mutt you'll find that number. there is a tag with a sequence number, but that is not a serial, and there may be duplicates from other production runs. On Ford's the tag is centered at the top of the firewall, on AMG's it's on the...
I've towed my M101A1 on 250 mile trips 3 times now, at highway speeds (65-70) without any problems. Tracked nicely, no swing or sway. Tow vehicle was a F150 Pick-up. If everything is okay with the trailer you shouldn't have any trouble.

I took a standard flat four plug/cable and a used MV trailer socket and made my own adapter for less than $20.00. Its easier with a used MV socket because it will have the wires on it. Identify the correct wires and clip off the rest. Connect the flat four cable using crimp connectors and wrap...
I made an adapter using a used MV trailer socket and a flat four pigtail. cost about $14.00. replaced 24v bulbs w/12v which solves the brightness issue. my pintle is raised about 3" on my F-150 and the lunette on the trailer is flipped to the lower position. tows level and tracks nicely. if you...
To me, whether the vehicle has a title or not is pretty much meanigless since my state doesn't issue titles for vehicles over 25 years old. So even if it came from a state that did title, I wouldn't have one once I registered it here. A requirement for a vehicle to be titled in order to...
I love my mutt, compared to earlier jeeps it rides like a cadillac! I attached a pic of my A2. If anyone wants info on mutts like pics manuals etc visit www.G838.org all mutts all the time!
