    Shark in tow

Thanks, the deuce is REAL nice. 11.00 Michelins all the way around, d turbo, and runs like a champ. The big box was a drag...literally! My MPG was pitiful, probably around 5-6 if that. The box is going to come off and become a shed. As for the m1010, that is a long story! First about 2 hours...

    I need a 12v starter for my m1009

You can try ACDelco Part # 336-1900 or ACDelco Part # 336-1878 Rockauto.com if you dont want to source it locally. My trucks are still 24v, so I cant vouch for either number. Good luck!

I need a name for my Deuce 109!

Take her for a 20+ hour drive nonstop. Somewhere in hour 14 or so after hitting a delirious state and you start having a conversation with the truck, she will tell you her name!:-D

    I need a 12v starter for my m1009

I would say "someone" is wrong. The 24v starter has two wires. One for main 24v power and one for the solenoid. Removing either will make it inop. I would think any auto parts shop could sell you a 12v starter for a 6.2L engine. Just go in and tell them you have a 85 4wd blazer with a 6.2L...

I need a name for my Deuce 109!

No good ideas here....my kids named my M109 "Boxy" and the name stuck. They wanted it to rhyme with the two M35A2s named "Roxy" and "Foxy".

Hour meters and MEP-002a service life?

I had one MEP003 with over 6000 hours on it. Ran like a champ, sold it, and the buyer still lets me know how great the unit is working. It probably has over 7000 hours on it by now. High hours means it was put to use and should have seen regular maintenance. If the price is right, buy it!

    Adding brake fluid

Your truck may or may not have tubing coming from the cap. However, this is correct. Open the trapdoor and unscrew the cap. DOT5 only!

    Connecting MEP to house

Any interested in a Power Set switch box ( PN: 97403-13229E6535 ) used to parallel the gen sets. TM 5-6115-633-14&P has details about its use. PM me if so.

no lights on my 1009. help please

Check the hi/lo switch under the steering column. You can use a paperclip to jump the switch to see if your switch is the culprit. This happened to me once.

Showing off my new M1010 Ambulance!

I will bet there is no AC in the cab. I studied the photos of this truck when it was on GL. It is a common misconception when one sees the compressor under the hood. The under hood compressor as you may know is used for the AC unit on the box.

Showing off my new M1010 Ambulance!

Diesel, there is an auxiliary fuel pump under the hood. Look driver side close to firewall.
