I have one with big tires, but I do not like it as much.
I was going to stencil in bang after the GANG parts.
I would not say I am a purist, but I do prefer them looking like this.
I think these trucks look so much better dualled out. I just flipped the hubs and installed stock tires on this deuce. The tan one is a comparison. Before and after.
Something else is wrong. The spring may have been part of the problem but it was not the problem. Everything is still real tough and the pedal will not spring all the way back. My other deuce will allow me to move the linkage and the govenor by hand with very little effort. The dead lined deuce...
It looks as though I have found the issue. The governor seems to be working properly. It is ht return spring that is not working. I compared the range of motion with another deuce I have. The return the spring on this deuce is too long and will not return the governor to the closed position. We...
That is a good point. I am not very familiar with this type of problem. So I was not sure if a major repair was in order. I will go out there beofre I run this morning and spray it again.
If that will work that is great. But I would prefer to repair it propperly. Is that something I can do with out getting into the whole IP? Also, the bolts around this part hase little peices of wire securing them. That tells me I should not be unbolting any of it with out a better understanding...
I pulled the passenger side fender for easier access. I zeroed in on the problem area. I do not know what that part of the IP is called, but I o know it does not work. Can any one offer me any tips or tricks before I proceed?
Okay, I crawled underneath and found the problem. The linkage is pulling back but the piece that sticks out of the injection pump is stuck. I could not get it to loosen by tapping it with a hammer. So what should I do next? Is this something I can repair without pulling the injection pump?
One of my deuces has a throttle issue that I think will be easy to repair. I just need a better understanding of what I am up against. The truck runs and starts fine and will move when you let out on the clutch. But there is no response when you step on the throttle. If I push down on the...
Marvin said he would take it if it is under $100. But who knows what the situation will be like if and when I finally get the guy cornered. I think I should update my shot record before returning to his yard.
I just went to the guys house and knocked on the door. I heard a faint noise coming from inside. I then realized the TV was on. So I knocked again and heard the TV get louder. i guess he did not want to be disturbed. I bet I could snatch that Jeep out of his yard with out him even knowing about...
