    A fuseable link photo map?

If you replace all the fuse links please be sure to document (with pictures and arrows) what you removed (fuse links) and what you replaced them with (fuses or breakers and their ratings) and upload it all here to help the next guy who asks. :)

Question on a MEP002 from the Electrically Ignorant

NEMA National Electrical Manufactures Association Every standard power plug in America has a NEMA number designation. That designation standardizes the physical and electrical characteristics so that all manufacturers NEMA 5-15P plugs are the same and will inter-operate with all manufacturers...

    Ignition Key Position

The TM states not to leave the key in the run position without the engine running. In stock systems when cold doing this will damage the glow plugs. If you have a 12V conversion doing this with a cold engine will cause the glow plugs to cycle which can drain the battery. In general not a good...

    Gen 2 Exciter Circuit

Does this help? Courtesy of UncleSam (member who colored the diagram) The way I read the diagram if you have power at the relay but not at the alternator the problem lies between those to points. Could be the diode, or wire or a bad connection/terminal along the way.

wiring connections for a civilian trailer on a M1009

Welcome to the site. Advanced search is good to use as most questions have already been answered. This is what I did. So much easier and no damage to existing conductors. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/cucv/75403-trailer-lights.html#post941967...

Question on a MEP002 from the Electrically Ignorant

True, I assumed a large (50A) system would use 120/240 single phase. The plug on your trailer should have a NEMA designation on it or at least compare the configuration to a NEMA chart to determine the voltage arrangement needed. (120 or 120/240) The MEP manual shows the terminals to use for...

Question on a MEP002 from the Electrically Ignorant

Set your generator for 120/240. Get short section 4-conductor #8 copper cable, an 8'x1/2" ground rod, a ground rod clamp, a 50 amp receptacle that matches your plug, a box with cover to house that receptacle, and a cable connector for you cable (to attach the cable to the box). Make up the...

    Wont Start

It has been a while since I have been on my bike (mountain) but I can relate. There was the time I was still new to the clip in pedals. I started up a very steep and rather long hill (just a narrow dirt trail). About 2/3 of the way up I ran out of gas and could go no farther, I came to a stop...

Need wiring help with 24v vs 12v

Are you talking about sending 24V to a 12V motor? If you are talking about using the positive and negative from the back battery then you have to account for the fact that the back battery negative is the same electrical point as the front battery positive. If your pump motor is a negative...

    M1009 Resistor Bank

I believe the testing procedure is in the TM. Should be roughly equal to the parallel resistance of all eight glow plugs. TM 9-2320-289-20 Glow plugs should be 1-3 ohms (TM says check glow plug continuity semi-annually). Assuming 2 ohms per glow plug equals 0.25 ohms total resistance which...

Missouri MV titling under attack and review

In charge? Really? Here I thought they represented us citizens and are beholden to the law as we are. To say that politicians can make stuff up and we have to just live with it 'because they are in charge' is .... well, un-American. We need more people like a1abdj who will hold their feet to...

Missouri MV titling under attack and review

This seems to be a common theme across a number of states and fairly recent to boot. I believe it is coming from the very top and it has a lot to do with saving the planet and such. I had once read of a bill introduced in congress to deny the sales of ALL military surplus to civilians and to...
