I agree with Springbok. As more and more of these vehicles are getting titled for on-road use, more and more people will start buying them driving up demand.
Plus, people see auction prices of $8K and then see eBay auctions ending at $15K or more. I know several people that buy from GP, get...
Just an update -
I was able to beat the new fan in and attach it without having to remove the whole assembly. It helped (?!) that when the old fan let loose it took out most of my shroud.
Attached new fan, attached hose, and drove home. No issues.
Now it's off to the shop for a replacement...
I have a new fan from a local supplier. My shroud is shot, but for right now I'm not too worried. I just need to get it moving so I can get it home and it won't get towed.
I'm trying to figure out how to get part #1 unscrewed. I can stick my pinkie finger in the hole the screw is supposed to...
I managed to break most of my fan blades when I entered deep water too fast. Now I need to fix it!
I was able to remove the old fan by first disconnecting the fan hose from fan drive then removing the nuts and lock washers. The old fan slid out easily since when the blades broke they also took...
Went to an off-road park today. Had a lot of fun, but hit the water too hard at some point and blew apart the fan.
Time to start reading the repair manual.

This needs to be pinned somewhere. I've owned multiple vehicles and have been here since '06 and could never figure out how to cross reference the parts manual with a NAPA part number.
Thanks!
I just received my MRAP light kit and am looking for some pictures on how others have installed them. Obviously, I'll be cutting the wire harness to fit and creating mounts, but it looks fairly straight forward.
I'm thinking of making a bracket for the front bumper for one light bar.
Mount...
My Bogert jack arrived today. After bleeding the air out of it, I changed out all my tires with new ones. Made the job much easier.

There is a set of braces you need to hold the cover up. They come in the complete kit.
Edit: Can't read.
The covers are interchangeable with the bows. Not sure of the arctic cover though.
Anyone who owns a classic or collectible car will tell you to never do the math on how much you spend owning one. From parts/paint/accessories/repair/fuel/storage/insurance it adds up fast.
But saving money is not why I own my vehicles!
There are a few more pieces you will need. I just got done with mine and still have the instructions - I can scan them if you want.
The rear strikers, a horizontal rail, two footman loops, and the two side rail assemblies are all required.
I bought the whole four door kit and it was easy...
Not everyone has the time or know-how to work on these vehicles.
I've sent mine to local mechanics to get work done. Easier than trying to find time to work on it.
Plan B Supply makes aftermarket hardtops and slantback kits. No idea on price and no price is listed on their website.

Check you state laws on kit cars. If you buy a kit car and assemble it, there should be a process for getting it inspected, titled, and registered.
Kit car registrations are different process from buying a surplus Humvee from gov auction. If you want one from gov auction, be aware they come...
