I can only comment on what I drove. The deuce can take that licking and keep on ticking. We proved that in Nam. Drove them hard and fast. They broght us home. Leaking and full of holes. They were designed to take that beating.
I will sit back and  then see if they reissue the deuce...
2 of us got together and purchased 12 rims and tires from Mike. Should be here any day. Seeing all the pics and comments on all the thread posts we are really getting excited.
Next order of business from Mike will be the oil filter kits.
OBW, did you have your rims powder coated?
I have 2 that came with Air Assist. They are nice but I would not spend $1800. There are other cheaper applications available.
The assist is good for me since I use mine in the woods in close quarters. 3 years ago while in the heat of backing between 2 trees {withour air assist} I was not...
I'll tell you a secret. You can purchase them thru Saturn Surplus for about $26. They are nos with instructions and all brackets.
One of my deuces came with a pair mounted on each side of the back side of the cab beside the seat.
Some what inconveinient in that location due to the seat belt, but...

You are correct when you say only the attorneys profit from legal action. I do not believe any of us are looking to profit from any legal action. I was merely pointing out the facts and a resolve. We just want to be treated fairly in a proper business...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: GL $ and EUC
No reputable company conducts business in this manner, by charging someones credit card or account and having them wait for days, weeks and sometimes months before the product is delivered. This is an unconscionable business practice. This puts them right down...
RE: Re: RE: Battery terminal meltdown
Replacing the post is probably the best and most simple. The cause is most likely a dead short in your system. I had this happen on a truck recovery when attempting to change the battery pack. When I touched the positive cable to the battery, instant melt...
RE: Re: RE: fuel return fittings
We have used the common harware store ferrules with DOT hi pressure line without any complications. In the beginning we did use the hardware stores plastice line which was a mistake. Did not hold up under the diesel fuel.
Since we are on the subject of pintle hitches. All but one of my trucks has a worn out pintle. My M109A3 has been replaced with a new one that has grease fittings. The others have nothing but slop.
Any solutions??
RE: Re: RE: I let the magic smoke out!
Replaced with a new starter push button with out success. Which tells me the problem lies elsewhere? I am also getting power thru the push button stitch. Old and new. I do not like pulling unless absoluely necessary. That is why I use my jumper button to...
RE: Re: RE: Quiet cab?
:funny: Yea, keeping cool in a deuce. But the idea of sealing around the trans and transfer case shifters is a good idea. I have 2 trucks with this set-up and makes a difference. The last recovery from Ok I took the blue paper towels and cramed them around the trans...
Ask Rick if he wants to go with you. He would love to make a recovery. Only 300 Mi. I think you made a fine investment. Looks good from the pics. I have made alot of trips across country and never had problems with the law. I just carry insurance info with me. The cops just look and wave. Stayin...
Now that we are on this subject. My truck failed to start on several occasions. Asso. switch worked fine but when pushing the starter button-nothing. I jumped across the starter solinoid with my starter button set-up and started right up. Any one had problems with the remote solinoid on the side...
