I've filled the box level full + with top soil and didn't bottem the springs on my M-101A2.
The bad part was unloading it by hand untill I could dump it. Total weight unknown,,,,,,

I agree with Storm51 on keeping it stock, with one modification. Put a duel master cylinder on it for the safety of having better brakes. If you install the 4:89 gears please be sure that you do the brake mod AND ! watch your crusing speeds planning ahead for stops.

Most of the 24VDC alternators have a 12V post however it usually cannot be used for anything drawing much current over about 1/2 to 3/4 amp. As was said earlier in this, go get a duel alt. set up and save yourself alot of hassels. I used a chevy single wire heavy duty alt. to run my 12VDC toys...

You might consider the Chev. V-6 series with the NV-4500, it works very well. In stock form there's more than enough H.P and the NV will give you a much better cruse speed. The V-6 takes up less room and the weight is better. Then you'll need better brakes.:driver:

Why could you not take a 10ft. pipe, weld chain on both ends, wrap it around the bumpers/pintal or bolt it together, take two drivers and tow it off base. Just a crazy idea that has worked for me several times. :driver:

Your correct on you post,,,,,,,the ole engine is just not built correctly for the turbo, it would take toooo much engineering to get it to work right.
