no I used a strap to pull it toward the bumper. it did not move

yes, I had a strap around it to hold it in close to the truck. If was going to drive on a paved road with traffic i would have looped a chain from the lifting strap up to the pintle ring. I was using a electric planetary gear winch and don't think the drum brakes are super reliable on them...

my friend followed me in his truck. 15mph on dirt roads. I pulled over when a car came up behind us. total trip was @ 8 miles. Felt fine on the last 200 yards of pavement. I was worried about bumps and the eyelets in the bed breaking I hooked the straps into the eyelets in the bed.

the seller had no way to load it. wrecker is out of commission and the ground would have been too soft anyway

That is how I got my 1008 un stuck. pushed out with the excavator., anyone here notice the old NDCC's had a huge side lug? a totally different tire in soft ground in my opinion.

bigger tires. chase car clocked my 543 at 70mph...once.

I was using my 108 (20,000lbs) in similar conditions Sat. My 1008 got stuck and it has 315/75 MTR's on it. Sank down. The 108 with its 46" XL's went where I told it to. it has been my experience that the skinny front tires sink and that is how it starts. Next thing you know your stuck.

I wonder how much that is and what is involved in putting them on.

I may try. Taz is bringing the shoes he took off his rocks to my bog. I'm gonna measure and see how close they are to new. I may throw a pinion brake on for this bog.

My brake adjusters are will spin 360. pads must be low right?

anyone have a good source for new brake shoes less than $25/shoe. do you know lining thickness when new?

can you do a general parts list? how was the power when driving?
