I've been following the thread, nice truck rolling on G177s. You will not be disappointed. My 925 and 936 are both on G177s and they ride great. Plus the NHC250 is a proven powerplant, that truck will pull a house off the foundation. Make sure you get the operators manual and read it. Service...
That's half of the issue, the other is most likely the rear axle drive line joints will be running at the max angle of attack. Probably no good for prolonged driving.
Brian,
Welcome from Kentucky, you missed a good run of trucks sold out of the Truck Center in Indy. That's all changed w/ GP taking over the rolling stock for the government. Keep us posted.

Gents,
The adapter center bolt is a 15/16 standard SAE bolt. 12 point or 6 point socket fits perfect. Your socket set may not be
graduated in 16ths . Glad you got it torqued up.

It's a Big truck, you will need a large parking spot that won't offend the neighbors, large tools to work on it, large wallet to fill the large fuel tank if you drive it daily.
Good job to pay for the insurance and hope you don't need any large expensive parts. Your '77 Blazer will seem to be...
Copy that, "true good to be true" maybe because there is no paperwork. That is a very old vehicle and not documentation of title, may not be able to be corrected.
Al,
Don't sweat it, my buddy put a CJ-5 in his 923. No issues other than tie down points. The D rings in the drop sides are light duty for securing a vehicle. Chock it well. Hopefully you have a short drive.

Brent,
Welcome from just west of you, Mt. Eden, KY. near Taylorsville Lake. Lots of CUCVs around, M38s may be a little harder to find. Have several trucks you can look at, fire up. Good group of guys just across the river, Kilroy Group of the MVPA.

The Air Force were sticklers for paperwork/ maintenance records. You should take a minute and go through the records package, you have a piece of history there. My '87 AF deuce had all its records back to delivery from AMGeneral, even contained the delivery acceptance documents that recorded the...
Normally they were equipped with 2 MEP 003s (10KW) generators most of the time the generators, heaters, and a/c units are long gone, sometimes they remain. You could disassemble it and use as indicated, the frame and running gear are pretty stout.
Making sense now. Those were used for repair facilities/shops. Normally electronics. The front shelf of the trailer was equipped with a generator/fuel tank and a/c and heat units in the overhead, They are expandable, make a neat camper or store room. My buddy has two of them for storage.
