No, just old school fire extinguishers, these were used in a lot of military vehicles, I was on the M3 Bradley during most of my time in the Army, there are two mounted in the right rear of the crew compartment. I can remember seeing them on other vehicles.

I am beginning to think now that this is what caused the runaway on this engine and subsequent bent valves, mystery solved.

Small update, should have motor back here at my fort Monday, will try to fire it off then. I need to order a new crossover cable from Saturn before I put the motor back in the truck.
