You could leave the old switch in its place and use one of the milspec angle brackets, like the ones that are used for the convoy light switch and put it under the dash. That way no hole drilling leaving the dash stock and you can always go back.
I may be wrong but it looks like you have a piece of aluminum tacked up on the back side. Be carefull of that if it comes loose, it may want to roll. If its steel my apologies.

Painted mine a couple months ago with Olympic paints, castle stone was the color. Used the trusty old Wagner airless sprayer. Very pleased with the results.
A buddy of mine got a abbot from England that came from Canada. He said there's a tanker training base in Canada. They use the abbots as aggressors, usually painted black.
Do you happen to have a part number or where you got your block heater from. I'm only running two bateries and fear them running dead on the coldest of days.
