I found a leak on my first deuce bye cleaning the entire area with brake cleaner real good. Then letting it dry and dusting the area with baby powder. Ended up being the hose from the fuel filters to the IP.
Finally got around to installing my NOS cargo cover. All the super rope was shot, ordered new from McMaster Carr . Man that thing was a tight fit. Hopefully the warmer weather will relax it a little. Also installed my fender mount bracket, still need to repaint it along with the sugar scoop. At...
In post #791 I removed the muffler and ran a straight pipe, I but too loud. Bought this muffler from a distributor i cant remember for about $65 and went to a buddies house and he welded it up for me. Much better.
If you go to napa or wherever to get your o-rings, please get a part # for me for the large o-ring. Found the two small ones no problem but the big one is eluding me.

What did you say, can't hear you! Just kiddin. It's pretty dang loud. I didn't like the stock muffler because you couldn't hear the exhaust at all, now it's a bit too loud. I may run a small off-road muffler like I did on my deuce.
Removed the muffler and replaced it with a piece of 4" tubbing. Kept the top bent portion of the exhaust so that with the exhaust shield on you can't even notice it's not stock. Sorry for the pics, don't know why the aren't right side up. I don't remember laying down when I took them. :)
