    Oil change nightmare!

We'll got the oil pan off, that was a booger. Found a lot more chunks of steel in the bottom of the pan. Sprayed bottom end with brake cleaner and took a peak with a flashlight. From what I can tell from under there is that the second from the rear cylinder liner came apart on the bottom. Looks...

    Oil change nightmare!

I've tried a couple snap on pressure tester fits and even the one they loan out from oreillys and no luck finding a adaptor to fit the expansion tank to pressurize it.

    Got 'er home!

They are available now. I was referring to a couple years down the road when you are looking for a new set to be surplused. I don't believe they are on any other mv's but the m939's being phased out of service.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Look good. I believe there's a rod that goes from the door through the jam and into the small vent door on the side. You can add a piece of rubber to the end to take up some room so it doesn't open quite so far. A piece may have been there originally but corroded over time.

    Got 'er home!

The 395's are 46 inch tires, the 14's are 49 inches. From what I hear the 14's are getting hard to find as they are no longer in use. The 395's are still on a few mv's, probably what we will all be using eventually.

    Oil change nightmare!

Last Saturday I went to change my oil for the first time and boy was I in for a big surprise. I had everything I needed for the change, six 5 quart jugs of rotella, new spin on filter adaptor, fleet guard filter, and some Lucas oil additive. Put a 5 gallon bucket under the pan and loosened the...

    2014 Annual Texas MV Rally

Just be ready for the highway after Waco, don't remember the name. It's a hilly mother! Me and my wife averaged about 25 mph according to my gps last year in my deuce pulling the m105. Mine wasn't a bobber though. Have fun. I don't have another trip like that in a mv anytime soon.

A friend of mine has a museum in Royce city. There's a gentleman that keeps what I believe is a bdrm at his place. I believe it runs, never seen it running though. Here's the owner of the museums website http://www.fubarmotorpool.com/#2689 You can contact him and maybe he can give you some info.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If it's the kit for the m939's then it will have the one door mount for the drivers side and then the two dash mounts. I have another door mount kit that is from a mk-48 that I'm debating on weather to mount it to the drivers side, it's black as supposed to green.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Started installing the three position gun mounts I got from CC Surplus today. Had a little trouble with the supplied hardware and had to improvise. Still have to mount the two on the dash and the butt mounts on the floor.
